I love Miata owners. The are some of the best bunch. Not one to be braggy, showy or pretentious like some other car owners. They genuinely love their Miatas and drive them with pure enjoyment. Bravo!
“Except it would be built in Japan so it would actually work.” Gold.
Miatas looks so happy, just like anyone who drives them they have a smile on their face
This really is one of the few cars that people say is fun and actually is. Whenever the roof is down, I look up and just smile. And it's always great to see another Miata of any generation and their driver waving at you on the road and driving alongside you as you go. Truly one of the cars and community made
Homie said “Semen Blue” and I lost it
"New phone who dis" was the best punchline ever!
I drove in anger (autocross course) the first gen ND right after driving my 91 NA. They do, as you point out, feel and react to imputs exactly the same. I could not believe how Mazda had accomplished such thing!
M-iata
Every time I see a Miata it reminds me of the scene where the two Miatas flashed Lightning McQueen in Cars
The paint on the na miata here is literally amazing 10/10 bring back that color, Mazda.
I went from muscle cars to fwd civics (ctr) to wrx's & now I drive a NB miata.. Funest car I've driven.
How is that NA ONLY $5k?! It's so clean! Would've easily cost €10k here.
New MX-5:
Perfectly balanced. As all things should be
my dad had a first gen miata while i was growing up, we always called it the little blue car. Seeing such a mint condition example of it was nostalgic, we lost the car to a wreck a few years ago (noone was hurt). Thanks for the memories!
“Most rear play I’ll get this year”. 😂 The English dude is hilarious.
"Probably the most rear-play I'll get this year..."
You don't drive a Miata, you wear it like a glove.
I bought my ND in June and honestly, I think it was probably the best decision I've made in my adult life. I genuinely feel bad for the naysayers of these cars because they don't know what they're missing. They're so much fun and make you feel so alive and if you're lucky enough to have a local Miata community like I do then being a part of that is also a blast. Even the NC which even people within the Miata community sometimes rag on is a super underrated and extremely fun car with tons of character and great reliability.
I bought a 99 Miata like 7 years ago and used it as a fun daily beater. I still have it and am now finally modifying the suspension, refreshing all the bushings to poly, new soft top, etc. It feels so much more planted and a little bit more serious feeling now. Next on the list is some lightweight 15x8 wheels and maybe a new paint job one of these days.
