Here is my best method for dip removal. After buffing off top coatl: 1) rub Vaseline around nails 2) soak small piece of cotton with acetone and place on each nail 3) wrap tightly with foil 4) place hands in EMPTY ziploc bag 5) place hand in bag into bowl of hot water and soak for 5 minutes. This reduces amount of acetone needed, is super fast and isn't so harsh on hands and nails.

VASELINE brilliant, I was looking at all these methods and they’re great but I have eczema-prone hands and all this soaking in acetone had me worried. Thanks for sharing!

This was great! Thanks!
Very good visuals. Easy to understand your words. No useless chit chat , yet very nicely spoken. I can use this info. Thank you. Video was a pleasure to watch.😊
Your nails look so healthy, mad respect for keeping with the orange wood stick! I was just going to pick up a metal pusher but maybe not 🤔 looking forward to your next video!
Thanks for this! I did the plastic bag and hot water and it worked like a charm. I also filed first.
I used the acetone soak in warm water. I didn’t have coconut oil but used some olive oil. I had trimmed back my nails short and it took about 3 minutes for each hand. Easiest methods I’ve ever used, thank you!
I love your nails!! I’m just watching this because I find it so therapeutic to get nails done and watch them it be done.
You are a lifesaver! Thank you so much for sharing your tips!! The bag trick worked wonders 😀
This was excellent! Thank you for showing the differences. So less work is always best for me, looks like cotton/foil was the easiest. Thx for making this video well done and you have really pretty nails!
Thank you so much for this. I removed mine last night and I WISH I saw this first. Just subscribed to your videos. Thank you!
Very helpful. Loved the variety of options. Thank you.
Thanks for this video. I've had a reaction to the foil method of removing NexGen. I used the clips ,which I ordered from Amazon and it actually worked. It took 30 minutes just like you said. 👍
This method seems really easy to do and your nail bed still looks healthy, TFS!!!!!!
OMG YOUR NATURAL NAILS ARE PERFECTIONNNNN. do you have a video/any tips for how you grow them out so long and healthy?
This is the best vid I have seen for dip remover. You have shown so many versatile ways Thanks 😊
Thank you, thank you! I have been using the metal tool 🥴 I will switch to an orange stick! Excited to try the other methods.
Such a great tutorial! Thank you!
How long after you apply oil on your cuticles do you reapply the dip on your nails? Also can you use cuticle oil while you are wearing dip nails or can it cause lifting? Thank you!
The baggy and bowl method 👌 thank you so much. The powder melted right off!
thank you so much for posting this and i really love the coconut oil. i tried it today and timed the remover for my own curiosity, and 6 minutes and 45 seconds later all my dip was off. thanks for the awesome video
Excellent tutorial!!!! Hands down!!! Helped me tremendously!!
Thank you ! Your video help me to know how to take off the dip. It took me 2 hours !!! I am so discouraged! But I will try again.
Seriously. Such a great video! Well done.
This is like the best explanation video ever ! Thanks !!
Your nails looks amazing and this was probably the most helpful video I’ve seen regarding dip powder removal!!! Love it!! Consider yourself SUBSCRIBED to!!!
Tried method #4 (bag & bowl) and just WOWWWW it was so simple and effective!!! Thank you so much!
Great suggestions! Thanks a million! I will definitely give it a try.
Love the methods. I tried the bag method, worked perfectly. Why are my nails so thin and brittle after I take off the dip?
Thank you done so well I love the way you explained it and so informative 😊 Thank you so much 😊
Thank you! I will probably find out soon enough tbh....but I'd like to get an estimate for how long it took to remove the nails. Unless not included because the thickness changes things? Also I hope this works if I glue on tips. Guess I'll find out! Appreciate the video tho!
Those are all great ideas. I also prefer not to file off all the product. Your natural nails look beautiful and healthy.
I used plastic bags and hot water!! Loved!! Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing I just started doing them and like them but definitely have learned a lot watching tutorials on the proper way of having them look I like the fact that I’ve had them on already for a little over a week and they’re not chipped except for one lol but definitely taking my time next time and buffing them so that I’d have a smoother nail after the application of the I guess basecoat I’m not too sure but anywayVery informative I’m going to try the soaking method by putting the bag with the acetone and then at the bottom a bowl with warm water it sounded pretty healing to me ha ha Ha thank you so much God bless
Excellent video, extremely helpful and saved me some money😊
I loved this video and it was so helpful, thank you
I sure wish that I had watched your tutorial before doing my sister’s nail gel dip. Easy to understand instructions and tips! Thank you. Now, I’ll know how to do it next time! 🫶🏻💅🏻
I love an efile. It's so fast. But I'd only recommend to use if you're familiar with using a dremmel. It's very easy to damage your cuticle if you're not careful, especially when using it with your non-dominant hand. Just be super careful if it's your fist time and don't go too deep or you can damage your nail as well. Having just done my second dip mani, I really like the idea of the acetone in a baggie and hot water. I tried the clips and it took 30 minutes to get most of it off. Once the remainder of the powder re-solidifies, you'll have to repeat. May be better if I remove most with an efile (just be sure you still have color left. If not, you've gone too far). I'm going to try the efile and clip method next. Seems like it would be great and should take half the time it does if you just remove the shiny layer. If that doesn't work, I'm going to try the baggie and hot water.
Worked like a charm!! Bag method
Excellent video! Love the bag w/warm water (double boiler type method! lol)
How do you get off the nail dip if you have nail tips on? Thank you so much love your videos
Can't wait to try. Great video. And fast to watch!!!

Took off my dip today with the baggie inside a bowl of warm water. Worked wonderfully! Thank you so much!!!
Hey thanks Gabby, was very helpful!
I have press-ons for 4 days now. I am doing an experiment. Normally if a nail fell off, I would re-stick it. But now, I just let it do whatever it wants. I am now left with 5 press-ons on, and the nails that last the longest are the pinky, and the ring finger (one thumb has a press-on too) . I am seeing how long they will last. I think about 3-4 more days
This was so helpful!!! Do you have a link for the cuticle oil you used?
Love this color! What brand and color was it? Thank you!
You have beautiful nails. Great video !😍
This is so nice and I'm enjoying watching your video here too
Can I ask what product you have on your nails. It is beautiful!
Very good video. 1 suggestion is to use the nail clips over the foil to keep the foil from falling off as you are wrapping the rest of your nails.
Beautiful color polish. Great tips 🥰
Great video & informative too!!
Thank you so much.I did the dip nails for the first time ,and it did not look good.
Insanely helpful, thank you
Followed your silver foil method, well impressed.
Are you able to remove them without buffing the top coat first? I have everything except a file/e-filer/block
I love that color it's beautiful

Great video thank you Gabby ❤
Super helpful! Thank you
Hi, I love your video, great information. What tip did you use with the e-file?
Your nails are perfect! So beautiful! Are you a professional nail tech?
So helpful! Thank you
Awesome video!
I need to know the nails you had on! I've been trying to find something like that!
Do you have to fully soak off the dip powder every time you get a manicure or do they just refill them like acrylics?
this was sooo helpful!!!

Thank you so much!💕🙏🏾
I made sure to get fingernail polish remover with acetone in it but does it have to be 100% acetone?
Hello Gaby, im wondering why you say the bag method is better than the soak off method?
What efile do you recommend or what one are you using in this video?
This is a fantastic video. Short and sweet and detailed. Thank you!!!
This is very helpful information. But how would I remove the tips without damaging my nails? This is the first time I have done the dip. I love them but my nails are growing out now
Thanks so much for the info!..
Great video ❣
Thank you so much! 🎉❤ new subbie now 🥰
I do the bowl in hot water & a towel on top to keep in the stem from the hot water
Thanks for the video, very helpful, I’m having to remove my dip powder myself because I am having to quarantine since I’ve come in contact with someone with Covid. I’ve had my shot but I just want to take precautions. Thanks again 👍🏾
Please do a video on nail extensions and really you have a great talent 😍 your nails are sooo beautiful 💖💗
How do you keep your nails so healthy?
How do you keep your nails so strong looking?
Do you notice a difference between expensive e-files compared to cheaper ones? I think it would be a great video topic. Also how to use the different bits.
@GabbyAngelique

I think the main difference you’ll see is the features the drill has ie speed, display screen, forward/reverse, if it’s cordless or not and also how long the drill will last you. I don’t use drill bits too often but I may be able to do a e-file for beginners video!

@@GabbyAngelique yes that would be a good video bc I messed up my nails using an e-file
Could you place your hand under uv light with the tin foil in place to conduct more heat??
I should have watched this first before I tried to remove my dipped nails myself the very wrong way last night with a course file and nail drill, now my nails are super thin and really damaged and look absolutely awful, any suggestions to strengthen my nails again? Thank you for sharing, I am a new subscriber! 💖

Lots of jojoba oil, a simple polish to cover and strengthen (base plus polish plus top coat) and use soy polish remover. Make sure to clean the nail with alcohol after using oil before you polish.

@@SCSilk mine are also thin from soaking stubborn dip off. So you would go back to regular nail care before doing dip?

I would love to know the color as well
When soaking in the warm water and acetone, how lo no did you soak for?
How often do you do this to your nails?
Do you feel like putting cuticle oil or any sort of nail enhancing (growth/strength) on before applying dip makes your dip not last as long?
@kimandte

Any oil base causes the dip or gel not to adhere to the nail plate causing to lift and chip quicker. Hope that helps!
Great video - thank you!!! May I know the model's nail color and brand? It's gorgeous!
What brand was the dip powder on your nail that u removed on the videos please 🙏 ?
What color dip did you have on before removal ?
This channel should be called Gabby Knows..... Anytime I have a nail issue/problem the 1st thing I do is say "Gabby will know!" Then trot along to here. 👍
I tried the bowl last night and I was doing it all wrong. The place I bought the dip from had it on their website. I should have looked it up. Lol. Thank you for this
Thanks 💖

You’re welcome ❤️
But my nails and skin hate acetone 😢 Does that mean I can’t do dip? I ended up overfiling my nail plate with an e-file last removal after soaking off with nail polish remover didn’t work. 😅
I have a question I have gotten my nails done about a week and half ago , I kept banging my finger accidentally of course now my pointer finger hurts by the nail so how do I remove the artificial nail without causing pain to my finger
Which E-file do you use?
How do your nails look strong? Mine are so thin when I remove my dip powder. Any suggestions?

Can you do this with cotton rounds instead of cotton balls? I don't have any at the moment, so I don't know if I can substitute the cotton balls for cotton rounds instead.
