4 Ways To Cook The Best Steak Of Your Life - Bobby's Kitchen Basics

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This kitchen basics video is going be epic, because it's all about how to make the best steak of your life. I have 4 techniques and steak recipes for you to make at home. Each steak recipe is easy to make and will help show you how to make the best steak ever. The first method is a reverse seared strip steak that is cooked in the oven and then finished in a hot cast iron pan. This helps the strip steak cook evenly and prevent the sear mark from going to deep. Next up is a sous vide strip steak recipe that is really easy and will cook up and be the most juicy strip steak you my have ever tried. The pan seared ribeye steak is really easy to make, and is incredibly crusty on the outside and very juicy inside. You cook the ribeye steak in the cast iron pan and flip it every 2 minutes and then finish it with butter, garlic, and thyme. Last up, we make a spice crusted skirt steak recipe cooked in a hot cast iron pan, and finished with a zesty salsa verde. Let me know which technique is you favorite and make sure to share this video..it was a beast to make! Big thanks to True Aussie Beef & Lamb for providing the meat! Much Love..Bobby, Dessi, & Art XOXO

Though I regularly break out my hibachi for grilling steaks in the dead of winter, sometimes it's just waaay to cold out there to go in and out of the house during the process. I tried your reverse-sear method/recipe and found the smoked paprika really helped for that "what's missing?" flavor. I did however cut the cumin by half. This method also produced a lovely medium-rare steak without fail following your directions. The overnight drying in the fridge is worth it if you have the time, but the steak is still yummy if you didn't plan ahead. The sous vide method "technically" worked in that the doneness was exactly to my liking, but I had to break out the A1 to help the flavor. I probably won't bother with the sous vide method unless I have a hot, hard-wood fire to finish the steak over plus a need to "hold" steaks for a crowd. The pan seared, butter/garlic/herb method is quick and easy if your steak isn't too thick, but it's pretty easy to under or over cook the steak with this method. Very, very little of the garlic/herb taste actually carries to the steak on the plate, and I broke out the A1 again. I didn't try the skirt steak one. Top prize goes to reverse sear with spice rub imho. Thanks!

And its so funny cos no matter how I try and I have been a great Italian cook for over 40 years (taught by a wonderful grandmom who grew up in Italy) but I cannot ever make a steak just right. My baby bro had to give me some tips (esp with the butter, etc). So when I saw this title I jumped into watching it!!! Cos I can make a steak maybe once a month!! So now, because of you I know I can make it PERFECT!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!

Ok I just want to say real quick, I wanted to learn better or another way to cook steak. I appreciate your video and will promote you and your buddy strictly because I can relate to the way you speak. Ok no I'm sorry I mean no disrespect to anyone at all but normally, in my opinion, any video I watch for help with anything the person making this video is extremely horrible since more than others but I can't even focus on what I want to learn. Instead of teaching your aspect on whatever you showing, people need to instill their.....uh lifestyle and not actually what is being searched for. I gave subscribed to your channel and will continue to follow you guys for education on cooking skills. Thank you again. Everyone is very polite and well spoken easy to understand, for myself. Please continue distributing videos guys. If your ever in Philadelphia contact me I'll take you to the best restaurant, in my opinion. Capital Grille.

I have zero confidence when it comes to cooking steak, so this helps, but I still have a problem. I actually like my steak medium well (or well) done. I know, I've ruined it. But I just can't with rare or medium rare. What temp should I use for that?

that is not an issue..you can just cook a bit longer! google a temp chart for steaks...you prob. want to cook until 135 F

Hello Bobby! I would like to ask that if i add salt on the steak and then let it in the fridge overnight , it is gonna lose all of its juice, isn' it?... i mean it will be dehydrated because of the salt if we let it for many hours....

Bobby, is there an advantage using the single gas burner you use or can you use the electric glass stovetop and get the same results?

cast iron pans wont work on glass or induction cooktops..which is why I put the link to the gas burner. Not having a cast iron pan is just wrong ;)

I'm a lil confused about the topic ~14:30, isn't the point of cast iron that it retains heat well? When you turn the heat down to medium/low, isn't it still just gonna hold a lot more heat from when it was super hot?

Hi Bobby. I've read on multiple websites that you don't want to use a high heat with an enamel cast-iron pan otherwise the enamel will get damaged. A medium high-heat at most. I've noticed you're using the Staub. I guess my questions are can you cook a steak with an enamel cast-iron pan without damaging it? And if so, at what temperature? The reason why my questions are so specific is because I'm planning on getting an enamel cast-iron pan so that I don't have to season it. I've tried to season my Lodge in the oven and have failed miserably multiple times. And my last question, can I use an enamel cast-iron pan for your ground beef tacos recipe? Thank you! -J

You can buy cheaper cuts of steak like skirt steak, flat iron, hanger...or braise tough cuts like chuck roast. Costco has good prices.

Perhaps one of these ways will prevent me from filling my home with smoke and setting off the detectors. That would be a first for me. I must admit, though - seeing pink, though I know people eat it all the time, frightens the hell out of me!
