    Any reason why nobody talks about IronX Snow foam? I haven't used it but it seems a like a really awesome product i feel like it saves time and can be used for lubrication for the clay bar at the same time. But i don't really see many people talking about it. Everyone just says IronX spray is best option, any reason? Is the snow foam just not as strong or ?

    We do not, we do have these two items though that have some kit discount pricing built in. Just search - "Bucket with Gamma & Grit Guards & Premium Vinyl Bucket Decal 3pc. We would throw the stickers in with the buckets however the buckets are such a low margin item due to the importing and shipping costs, these type of stickers are such high cost to us, that we have not offered that to date.

    On some of the detailing forums, I read of posters prepping a car for polishing/coating, applying Iron X to a section and then claying that section using the Iron X as the lubricant. They then move on to polishing from that point. Do you recommend claying with Iron X as the lubricant? I would not have guessed a product designed for Iron decon would have the lubrication ability to act as clay lube.

  • @SkyCarCare

    @SkyCarCare

    Жыл бұрын

    Well, it will work for sure... If looking to save time then it can save time as well. For me it would add time since I like to clean off really well after my Iron X step. Alternately, during my clay step I coal off with MF towels section by section without washing. If you are polishing in a later step then there is not really a downside to IX with regards to it being a lubricant except it will expose you to the chemicals of Iron X for a lot longer.... Personally I prefer separate steps. If you do use IX as clay lubricant then definitely wear gloves.

  • @SkyCarCare

    @SkyCarCare

    Жыл бұрын

    It sounds like you used the wrong trigger. Was the trigger you used white? If so, thats probably the CARPRO Foaming trigger that you used which creates a foaming affect of the product sprayed through it. If IronX dries on the surface before you rise it off then just go over it with a wash mitt or sponge lightly while rinsing. I do that as a habit anyway.

  • @SkyCarCare

    @SkyCarCare

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great question! That depends on the miles your putting on it... If it is garaged and weekend driven then no need more than 1-2x per year at most. If it is a daily driver with 200 miles a week then you could do it every few months and on the wheels even more often depending on how well you keep them clean and protected.

  • @SkyCarCare

    @SkyCarCare

  • @SkyCarCare

    @SkyCarCare

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@walenrod17 It will come off during polishing but it will affect the polishing and also can be more aggressive to the paint to have extra solvents on the paint OR could cause extra lubrication to change properties of the polish. Technically you "could" do it... but maybe not "should". You are mixing chemicals in a way... so we couldn't say it is the safe route to go or the best practice.
