I love this! Is it me or the gliss and SiC seem to bead better?
Nice 🔥 🔥
New sub here! I’m looking forward to your clips! I’m a driveway enthusiast, my car is garage kept and in great shape. But I gotta be honest I’m a novice when it comes to polishing. Your clip has given me some confidence lol
Thank you for the video I love CarPro products I swear by it to detail my vehicles. Question for you, how often should we apply HydroFoam? I’m in Miami you mention 3 months protection. Should I apply every 3 months or after every wash if possible for ultimate protection? Thank you.
Do you recommend incorporating Elixir as part of the process of maintaining a ceramic coat (for example instead of annual use of Reload)? I find it a bit easier to use.
If you prefer Elixir then most certainly I would just use the Elixir as your maintenance. Either Elixir OR Reload will achieve the same goal.
Is there a difference between 1 layer and multiple layers?
So far there is not one that we can see on this car. I suspect 2 layers does make it more likely to resist marring / harder. We expect over time eventually it will perform better as well.
Good video Corey, I've been using this since it came out years ago, I basically use it as a topper for reload, so easy and protection usually lasts 3 months. I have used it as a stand alone, but surface must be washed/clayed first for it to bond correctly. I couldn't wear black in that Florida heat 😂 All the best my friend.
Haha! We need a blooper reel of me wiping the sweat off my forehead and the comments between Josh and I between shoots! lol
I'm using reset for my car that's protected with immortal ppf, but what is the solution to safely deep cleaning my ppf coated car?. Example scenario if my car is full of plant sap after parking under a tree.
That is really tough with sap... and of course it depends on what kind of sap but PPF is a soft material and you do not want to let that PPF bake into the PPF. You will want to remove the sap before the surface is heated or keep a car cover on the vehicle when you are parking it under sap. To get the sap off that is already on it try CARPRO Reset. Then follow that with a soft microfiber towel and alcohol. Gently remove the sap like this and then begin using the car cover if parking under a sappy tree.
I don’t see why most people are hating in the comments, I have used quick beads, Wetcoat, and 303. Hydro2 foam is by far the easiest in my opinion (I use it in a foam cannon) and uses less product.
I agree! And the glosssiest! It really impresses me. I have seen probably 20 imitators come out since 2013 after Hydro2. So many times since then I have heard someone say "X is better" or "X is just as good!" etc, I went and bought whatever product they were talking about and tested it and every time it was not even a patch on the gloss or beading that I get from Hydro2 products. The only negative comment below that I think is valid is shelf stability in the heat. For sure not a product you want to store in the sun or heat for long.
Mine turned to a gel. Very hard to get out of the bottle and even harder to dissolve. Horrible product with very poor stability / shelf-life
It sounds like yours got left in the sun or heat and became unstable. If you purchased it from Sky's the Limit Car Care then reach out to us so we can make that right! If you ordered it elsewhere then reach out to them and if thye do not help you then let us know and we will.
You really need to work on your demos. What is that.... a 25-degree nozzle? What hell? The foam gun is set to full jet? . 😏
Thank you for the advice! Have a great day!
Relax not a big deal at all.
Damn looks great, how do you decide which to go with 🤔 2 layer diamond, 1 D 1 sic 🤔 What do you recommend Corey?
Haha, tough choice! Either of the two options you mentioned would be my top two choices but I THINK I like the idea of Sic as the second coat. Personally I do NOT care about slickness.... and DQUARTZ GO on its own is more than slick for me. I dont want to rub my fingers on paint anyway.... And microfibers slide effortlessly on either combo but I still have some suspicion from feedback of many that the DQ/Sic combo is hard to beat. I will also say that so far I see no difference between these two combos in my own testing... Finally, if I was the consumer that was only doing one car and is conscious of costs then the DQ/DQ would be the best option so that I did not have to buy a bottle of each. Of course if I was doing multiple cars then it would not matter if I had to buy both.
Dquartz on my '24 Civic hybrid is going fine. I did a 3Ph wash to decontaminate the paintwork with Bilt Hamber touch-less and Labocosmetica Purifica, then finally with Carpro reset to neutralise the alkaline and acidic shampoo. It's perfect still. Happy with it.
Thanks for the update brother!
Hey Corey, this is one the CarPro products I've never tested. For me it is to expensive because of the high dilution ratio (I can't understand why CarPro doesn't release a price attractive sealant shampoo like the Gyeon Bathe+). The best way for me to add quick a little sealant after the hand wash and wet surface is to spray the Hydro2 Lite (I dilute it 1:1 with clean water) directly in the water jet (not on the surface). In the right hand I hold the pressure washer and in the left the Hydro2 spray bottle. That works absolute fantastic, no issue's with high spots or so. BIG THANKS Corey!!❤
Thank you for the kind comments and for watching! Cool method you describe here as well! Love your ingenuity!
Thanks Corey, pads looking great!😍 Yeah the PXE is an absolute fantastic machine. I make the whole car with it in 30, 50 and 75mm pads. All the CarPro polishes working very well. This year I tried the Essence the first time and WOW.🤩 Sickness and gloss crazy!!! All the best Corey, love to watch your videos, big THANKS & greetings from "crazy/stupid"😆😉 Germany!🙋🏼♂️🚗💕
Hello my friend! I agree completely, love the PXE! All of my warmest regards to you and Germany 🤗❤
Too complicated that’s why I recommend wet coat by Gyeon instead
Gyeon made a fair attempt at imitating CARPRO Hydro2 Lite with their wet coat. CARPRO created teh spray on / rinse off called HYDRO2 in 2013. We LOVE it....
I agree, don't see any advantage over the spray on. But Hydrolite is better than wetcoat, last longer and beads better, give it a try.
just got today my Cquartz applied should I add reload now or in 2 months?
If it is CQUARTZ UK then apply Reload tomorrow. If it is any of the other versions of CQuartz then I I would till at least your first wash or a month or two
@@SkyCarCare yes is UK I applied reload 1 day before
@@nac5000 If you applied Reload before you applied the coating then the coating will not bond. I think you meant you already applied Reload after you coated which is perfect.
@@SkyCarCare yes thanks!
I love the Carpro brand, don't get me wrong. I just finished a bottle of Hydro2 Foam. I just think for this product, DIY Detail Quick Beads, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Flex Wax or 303 Brand Touchless Sealant might be better overall, especially for the money.
Thanks for watching and the comments! Wow, I have used a few of those and do not see ANYWHERE near the gloss or resiliency that I see with the CARPRO Hydro2 line. As long as you find what works best for you, thats what matters.
I can't believe you don't want to wash the car completely before even attempting to put Hydro2 on it. I would want to use the Hydro2 as a sealant, not double duty as a soap. And yes, I watched the whole video.
I am glad you watched the entire video! In that case you heard me specifically state that I would recommend to wash the car before sealing it as well. I then stated something feels very wrong to me about sealing a car without washing it first. Since we have a HUGE variety of customers with a HUGE variety of goals and orientations of detail we like to show all of the things you CAN do rather than only our personal preference. Thanks for watching and for the comments!
Lol you clearly didn't watch the whole video 😂
They say it can last 3 months, but it can't even last 2 washes with a reset on my car...
Thats very interesting! I am quite curious about all the variables in your situation. If you shoot us over an email detailing what is on the car beneath the Hydrofoam, the environment your in, and any other details, then we can probably figure out whats causing that. Have you tried Dr. Beasleys Bead coat? That is another one we have had insane durability with. If you are having trouble with both Hydrofoam and Bead Coat then there is something wrong with your water/prep. or something is landing on the car and ruining the beading. Sometimes people are near mineral refineries or something like that where fine mist of particles mess up their water beading quickly. In any case, send us an email and we will be happy to help you. Troubleshooting by ruling out some things in an apples to apples scenario will also help you figure it out. If after troubleshooting you cannot figure out how to make it work for you then you should most certainly reach out to where you purchased it for a refund and return.
Curious the reply you get if you don’t mind sharing here.
Settings on the Camera where a little different this time around so our 4K quality is not there! BUT the information and the Demos still came out GREAT!
how do you recommend cleaning this pad before your next section pass… Tornador blow gun or maybe a brush?
If you have a tornador then that is the best option - yes sir!
Désolé , mais cest juste une led work light W832 aliexpress chinoise , rebadger lake country en plus cher !
Which is better on wheels? DQUARTZ go or DLUX ?
DQUARTZ is fantastic on wheels! Favorite combo would be DQUARTZ Go with a top coat of CQUARTZ Sic. However even if you do only DQUARTZ on its own I find it will rival anyhting else out there.
@@SkyCarCare Great thanks ! . Was hoping to use DQUARTZ go as my new rims are black gloss. Hopefully can reduce swirl marks from regular washing
How many pounds of pressure would you recommend on the compressor? I’m thinking lower is safer. Thanks
I completely agree, it doesn't need a huge amount of pressure.
i just done applying the 2nd coat and waiting for 3rd coat But I already know the result is gonna be bad 1, the timing for it to flash is really hard to catch ,and I separate hood into 3 part and now they have slightly visible borderline 2, when it looks ready in 6 minutes , but it behaves like too early but the streak line when I applying the coat very hard to buff off 3, after buffing it still look like oily residue on top , I used 4 towels just to buff it but no improvement At the end I just F it , continue to apply and gave up on saving it
Hopefully it came out better than you expected! The most important step in the process on our video (other than prep) is to dial in the timing on the first section BEFORE moving on. If you find it hard to remove then you wipe off sooner. Dial this in on the initial panel with some testing on one small area. Easy to fix one area but not to fix an entire car. If we can help further hit us at 386-259-0759.
Let it cure for 2 hours. You will be amazed. Its a shame they don't specify this on the bottle.
I am curious what do you mean let it cure 2 hours --> Let it cure from what? I apply it on a wet vehicle and sometimes it even rains immediately after and it performs EXCEPTIONALLY with zero cure time. Thanks in advance - Corey
@@SkyCarCaresorry. English is not my native language. Laat het 2 uur uitharden voordat je het nat maakt en de hydrofobe eigenschappen zullen vele malen beter zijn dan wanneer je het aanbrengt en onmiddellijk nat maakt. 👍

CarPro products are the best I’ve ever used so far for my budget!
Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback!
Thanks for share
It would be good if you matched the pad to the polish for us.
Happy to help Randy! First thing to know is that depending on the goal you can pair nearly any pad with any compound. But lets back up.... a finishing pad like the Gloss pad would be used with the least agressive pads. As you can see and is mentioned in the video we have everything displayed in the order form LEAST agressive to MOST agressive. So, Gloss pad with Essnce or Refelct, Polishing pad with Fixer or Clearcut or Ultracut, Flash Pad or Microfiber pad or Wool pad with Clearcut or Ultracut. I hope that helps!
Nice update. Can this coating be used on alloy wheels, glass and plastic? Or do you recommemd dlux for rims and plastic. Can you also provode the link about coatings on plastic, i cannot find it.
Thank you! Yes for sure on rims - works great there. On plastic yes we think so but of course with the same caveats we advise on any surface that cannot be polished (I.e. textured palstics) if you read our precautions for Dlux on the SKy's the Limit Car Care website. Which link? The one to Dlux on our store? Or the KZread video?
Are you supposed to throw the towels when you're done with them? Or is there a way to salvage them?
They are no longer paint safe after this use. You can "retire" them for use on tires and engine bays, etc.
5 things you didn't know Carpro is too cheap to fix because they save money💰It's so bizarre that they do these things in a vehicle detailing market when they know how particular consumers are with their most caressed comodity. If the goddam spray nozzle/tube doesn't work to get the product out - fack it I'm out.
Which nozzle are you having trouble with and which product did you use it on. Also, where did you purchase it?
Great products and review... Are there any distributors locally that sell their products? Really love to get my hands in them haha
Thank you! Where is local for you?
@@SkyCarCare My bad... I'm in SoCal
@@Improvise_Adapt_0vercome Yes sir! Elite Finish in San Diego carries many of the products but call them first and be sure on which products to make sure they have in stock.
@@SkyCarCare Much appreciated
Did all this on my new BMW except for the polishing part since the car was pretty new (fresh from Munich, I drove it only for about 6 weeks). Would really recommend it to every buyer of a new car, to do that as soon as possible, since you don't need the polishing steps (at least for me because the paint was in pristine condition). Oh and I used the lite version of CQUARTZ which is incredible easy to put on and almost held for 2 years (wash my car very regularly and use ceramic detailer like the one from Sonax) which completely blew me away.
Can you top c quartz 3.0 on d quartz?
You can, but you would be better off topping it with CQUARTZ Sic. Sic is a better top coat than UK. Sic is great on top of UK or on top of DQUARTZ. Warmest Regards, Corey
How many months does this last before you have to recoat it.
6~12
How we coating with sticker on body? Can we keep the sticker without peel it.
Yes, you can - depends on the sticker and the goal.
The kit comes with reload sealant.
That is correct, there is a kit with the Reload included and also an option without it.
Corey we need an update!
@@WesleySutton it’s doing great!! Still PERFECT. We will film another update soon
@@SkyCarCare my DG Glass comes today 💞 perhaps matching coating for the paint 🤔
@@WesleySutton Hmmmm I think its a good idea! I am still loving both the paint and glass versions of DQUARTZ Best, Corey
@@SkyCarCare is there an email I can reach out, I have a couple questions about the glass install.
@@WesleySutton Yes, [email protected]
What do you plug it into? A wall outlet? A computer? Thanks
To charge it you mean? Generally a wall. Glad we could help! Have a great week
He’s doing it wrong. You’re not supposed to wipe the rotors after you apply the solution because you are losing the product onto the towel, rather dry the rotors with a blower.
Hello! Great video, just a quick questions…can any of these polishes be used by hand? 😊
Yes they can all be used by hand but polishing by hand will always result in FAR MORE manual labor and hard work and will never yield results that a machine will.
What do you do if you lose the little plastic clip that fastens the mitt to the pole?
I have 4 ways to look at this answer. 1. - It doesn't need the plastic clip in order to work. That is a secondary backup. 2. - Just don't lose it. 3. - You can use something else as a secondary backup piece that fits in the hole. 4. - You can reach out to us and we may be able to aquire a replacment from Germany.
Can 3inch backing plate be used in 5inch size polisher? I see no one did this.
No, 3" plate will not work right on a 5" machine.
Another good video :) You mention Carpro reset for washing. How important is it to use Reset for every wash? Is it ok to use other soaps for regular maintnance washes? Also thinking for the coating on the paint. I use Reload on my car 3-4 times a year so how important is Reset in this case?
Great question! Some soaps like Ultima Paint Guard Wash and CARPRO Reset are optimal but in a pinch you can use others no problem. As long as it contains no abrasives then a typical soap will not damage the ceramic coating. It can however clog it up a bit over time with waxes and gloss enhancers stuff. The good news is that if you wash with Reset again it will "RESET" the coating by removing the stuff that other soaps leave behind.
@@SkyCarCare thanks for the explenation :)
Ultracut and essence combo is deadly. I do paint corrections and coatings and am subcontracted out by multiple shops, polishing all day, there are very few duos that give the results these do. Menzerna and Oberk are the only other two brands with duos that come close.
Love it!! It is a crazy good combo!
Hey Corey, with 1 layer will that give 24months or does it need at least 2 layers. (Thanks for the help in advanced !)
Even 1 layer will lat 24 months if well cared for but will not perform as well as 2 layers during those 2 years. - It is worth the time to do 2 layers imo. It is not worth the time to do 3 layers unless you have LOTS of extra time and enjoy doing it. It is diminishing returns with each subsequent coat. I would say the second coat adds 50% of the protection the first coat added and the 3rd coat probably less than 20% of what the first coat did.
Hello, is it better to apply Reload shortly after coating or wait a while? What is best? I’ve heard of people applying Reload right after coating but only because the car was going to sit outside and possibly get wet. My car is garaged and I just want what’s Best for coating. Thank you
With CQ UK it is fine 1 hour after the final coat. I would give you different advice with other coatings... Ahhh if it is sitting in the garage then no reason not to wait 12-24 hours before using it.
@@SkyCarCare Any benefits to waiting longer or is 24 hours ideal? Thanks!
@@flatspin2 With UK, no no benefit to waiting longer than 24. I am not even sure there is a benefit from 1 hour to 24. I just figure it cant hurt. What I would not do is use it between the 90 minute and 6 hour mark on UK.
@@SkyCarCare thanks for the advice!
@@SkyCarCare any reason in particular not to apply in the 90min -6 hour timeframe? I would like to apply reload 1 hour after, but some parts of the car have been curing longer than others and I’m not sure of my starting point. I was kind of bouncing all around the car when applying the coating. If I wait an hour after I applied my last section, other sections may be at the 90 minute mark. Just don’t want to do anything wrong. The CarPro instructions are vague, they just say “apply reload after 1 hour” and don’t specify a particular timeframe to avoid.
Would you suggest regular polishing compounds for hard water spotting over this?
Yes, 100%. Ceriglass is only to be used as last resort on water spots. Paint Compounds will often remove them and with none of the risks of cerium oxide.
