4 Types of Questions to Ask Your Tech Interviewer ~ FAANG & Startups
Got a tech interview coming up? Girl, I gotchu~ I'm at my 4th company now (2 startups, 2 FAANG), and picked up a few things that helped me prepare for my interviews. Here's my process for asking my interviewer questions to learn more about the company. I'm not a software engineer, but I worked in product management, business development, partnerships, operations, and analytics.

Watching this channel just makes me realize how WRONG I've been going about job interviews, and not even tech-related job interviews. This is information that EVERYBODY should know. Chloe, this is such a resource I'm so glad you lay these techniques out so thoroughly and in a way that's easy to digest.
As a new PM, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your videos. One challenge I have that I hope you can make a video one day to share your experience is what questions to ask in your 1-on-1s with every one in different departments when you’re new to the company. In my other roles, I never had a 1-on-1 with executives so I feel stumped and worried I may ask the wrong thing.

I'm looking to become a PM too...did you have any previous experience? Would you mind if I asked a few other questions on how you prepared for the role?
Chloe, I just want to say how incredibly helpful these videos have been. Thanks so much for sharing, you're an all-star!
As an aspiring PM, I LOVE YOU! This video is so positive and helpful, I'm looking forward to asking some of these Q's during my interview next week :)
Hi Chloe! I just want to say thank you so much for creating this video (and all your other videos hehe)! I used these questions during my interview (although it was for a program coordinator role in tech) and it really helped me gain confidence and got me thinking of hard hitting questions of my own. The hiring manager really liked my questions and that's thanks to you!! Although I didn't reach the offer stage at that company I'm thankful I got to gain some wisdom and confidence with interviewing through you. Definitely going to share this with friends who are job hunting as I feel these questions can be applicable anywhere!
Hey, I'm prepping to interview with both a FAANG and a startup and this is super helpful! I've been interviewing for a while, but you gave me a lot more ideas on more in-depth questions to ask. Love your positivity and motivational vibes 💖 Thank you!
Thanks for the amazing and super helpful video, Chloe! I especially love the positivity you instill 😊 keep it up!

Great questions to ask to be honest!!!
I am going through interviews right now and found questions to ask on the web.. but I think I like how you word it better so making tweaks now. I didn't even read the info box and was taking notes on my own.. realized you wrote it all out for us. Haha. :P
I also make videos about PM/tech career things! I've never thought about asking why this job opening was created before-- super smart! Also love your editing style haha

Haha yeah sometimes jobs are open because too many people leave since it's not set up effectively. I always watch out for those! Glad you like the editing style! :D
i absolutely LOVE your video. I am going through a career change and these are ingenious ways to ask the interviewer, so you don't fall into the same trap again! could you elaborate a bit more at the end what you mean by "ask the interviewer to help you to get the job"? thank you chloe!!
This is awesome, just started the recruiting process for my first next step in the product world and after a few calls, I wasnt really sure what I wanted to know from my side. This vid, along with 'How I decided what company to work at as a Product Manager ✨COMPANY REVEAL✨' have really inspired me to put a bit more thought into applying for roles. It's just a bit hard to stay on top of everything hahaha (aaaahhhh)!!!

I love your videos 😍😍😍🙌🙌
Here are some additional questions to ask in an interview: a) Culture (give interviewers a chance to talk about themselves): what is your favorite part about work here?, what makes people stay on this organization?, what are the biggest challenges this organization is facing? b) Role specific (to show you have a genuine interest on the position and up for a challenge): can you tell me hat a typical day or week looks like in this position? What do you want the person in this position to accomplish the first 30, 60 or 90 days?, what challenges or opportunities do you foresee in this position in the next 6 months?, How would my performance be measured in this position? c) Hesitant questions (can be intimidating and scary to ask, would require a lot of vulnerability and openess, they clarify uncertainty of the interviewers about me filing the position): is there anything causing in you hesitation about me filing this position? , how do I compare to other candidates interviewed for this role? have I answered all the questions you have for me?
Thank you for sharing! would you say PM in your company is the same as PO?
does that kirkland butter mean you have 11 more of those??? These videos are amazing
These are great, but managers don’t usually leave this much time for questions. How many questions are too many? What’s an average number of expectations?
Awesome :)
