4 things you need to know about the Mako Pro Skiff before you buy.

I purchased a 2017 Mako 17 Pro Skiff about 4 or 5 months ago and want to share the top 4 items I think everyone should know before they purchase one.
1. Slippery Spot
2. Water Bailing and Bilge Pump
3. Live Well - New Style vs. Old
4. Boat Storage
If you have a Mako 17 Pro Skiff and found something you think others should know, please comment! We all would love to know what to plan for.

Bought mine 3 years ago. Pretty happy with it except for the front dry box built into the casting deck. I live in Florida with 100% humidity in the summer. When storing it after a day on the water always make sure and leave it (the hatch) open. If you don't this place becomes a mildew factory and STINK OMG!

My family loves spending weekends in the saltwater sandbars and I am pretty much fresh water when it comes to fishing. So this skiff gives me a solid platform for my kids to walk around with plenty of room and also holds up decent to the harsh saltwater conditions. If I did not have a family I would probably picked up a bass boat as I prefer fresh water fishing. :) hope that helps!

Built the cheapest way possible..half the screws were stripped or in sideways thing was a joke... theres no way it would have stayed solid for more then a few years..look under the sidewalls and you'll see what i mean. There's a reason why theses boats are cheaper then the rest..do yourself a favor stay away from mako boats....what good is a so called lifetime warranty on junk
