Really enjoying this video series as I prepare for my CASPer test in a couple days. Thanks for the tips, feeling much more prepared than when I went into the test blind last year.

That's wonderful, we're glad you enjoy them!

You had mentioned that the evaluators don't have things such as facial expressions, body language, tone etc., because the test taker is responding by text. Why is that? This test does not seem to be the best evaluation of the objective that is wanted.

Explain to me why you have to prepare for a test that you should be able to answer honestly? Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of the test?

Hi Jenna, thank you for your comment! CASPer is a timed test, test takers are only given 5 minutes per scenario to type answers to three questions. Students often tell us they had no idea how much pressure and stress they would feel and how hard they found it to answer the questions within the time limit. Practice can really help with this! In addition, preparing for the CASPer test also gives students the skills and techniques necessary to answer different types of CASPer questions. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Is it okay if we put "Please refer to Part A" if question B asks a question that you included in the answer for Part A? Would we be counted off for that?

Hi Sarah, the score that you receive is representative of your overall performance on that station, so that means that you can still do well even if you miss a question. Hi Team had a couple of questions, 1. Can we use apps like grammerly on the test? 2. Can we copy and paste pre-written notes about the personal questions?

Hi there, thanks for your comment! You won't be able to use any aids during the CASPer test, which includes copying and pasting pre-written notes. Keep in mind you'll be recorded for the duration of the test.

@@amandajimenez2414 Thank you for your question. The CASPer test is not necessarily designed to address specific professions. It is a general situational judgment test, so the questions for medical school and physical therapy CASPer could be the same. Remember, often the questions have nothing to do with the medical profession. The scenarios can talk about classroom ethics, friendship, workplace dilemmas, etc. The key is to have answer strategies for each question category.
