Robb, you're an interesting guy. I've already raised boys that weren't mine. I guess I would be considered the weird neighbor. It's not a bad thing, particularly if you like to engage with folks that tend (I use that term lightly) to be unusually "interesting". Hey, since you're dealing with boys that aren't yours ... after disciplining, there has to be a "coming to Jesus moment" where you give the kids hugs and explain that all you want is the "best for them", and "best for their mom". You have to settle those things quickly to cement a good foundation with these young men. Doing that, will square up with their mother. Don't let 24 hours go before "mending that fence". Good luck man, great channel. Always be humble. Always be the listener. You'll go far.

You're very good at monologues, great vocabulary. About co-parenting.. Problems arise when Mum and Dad aren't on the same page. I had experienced that . Mums tend to go soft, especially on sons. Then the disciplining is done by the Dad and he becomes the Boogie man. The boys must feel the two parents are united . So they can't be manipulated . Kids are good at that. Crying is just one way . I'm still thinking that the very small "house" will look like a hut on a huge block of land and way out of proportion.. Mind my words, this is going to cause waves . Unless you have an orchard on the land.

Also, the video on how to analyse the pics of Thai women on Thai Friendly is very helpful too. It can be a bit of a Mindf@#k however and I'm so overloaded with research that my head hurts lol. You sound like you have a good grip on yourself. I think we have common ground based on your comments concerning engineering and construction so coming from someone who has worked in that industry in a position that you don’t make friends on the job, all you can do is live your life in such away that you don’t have to look back and second guess your actions. Beyond that other people’s thoughts are out of your control.

Hi Rob! I find your content very insightful and helpful. I am currently dating a Thai woman while I'm still living in the States preparing to semi-retire in her rural southern province near Hua Hin. We met on TikTok and have been dating for three years now. I've been very slow and cautious. Sometimes i wonder if I'm being scamed but most of the time I feel she and her family are sincere. I visited and stayed with her three time in 12 months with my longest stay being 45 days. I've already experienced some of what you've shared in your videos. I have so many more questions. I just bought your book. Hopefully, I will find the answers I'm looking for. Thanks for your efforts to share your helpful experience. - Jeff

On a side note suggest you keep emphasizing the importance of facial expression being 50% of the communication. This can be hard for some farang to remember 100% of the time. My Asia started with 12 years working japan so I can see many similarities to Thailand which is now my new destination. It has taken me a few years to appreciate I came to Thailand as a follower of Dharma and Dhamma to spend time with monks and in temples. So I apologize as I do not see the culture as you do. I appreciate your videos however over time I learned how to live here in my way. Personal update, considering a thai partner as she has proven loyalty and caring over time. I cannot say if she is typical thai. I can say she has no interest in drama, insecurities, and we just talk through everything so we understand each other.

I probably should have added, the husband was working in another city and left her to marry another woman. In true thai old culture there is no jealousy or interference as this would impact karma for both. They remained in good contact and he paid 100% for the daughter education and she now has a debt free degree working. Point of all this is this is this is the culture I witness. More than 99% of foreign men seem to walk a different path? A few youtube such as The Naked Guru talk more this way. To be honest the further I go the more I believe I was a past monk. I am not 100% trusting translation, however one said I am the epitome of Buddha that I took quite serious. Thinking, I will bow out of your youtubes as they are more geared for how a western man would cone to Thailand and maintain his western standards of analogy? I admire your dedication and commitment. Wishing you and all loved ones happiness ❤🙏

You absolutely get treated better when you dress nice. You get used to the heat here. We split our lives in the U.S. between AZ and FL so the weather here has never been an issue for me. Good the family is being helpful. After our baby is born in July my mother in law is coming to stay for a month to help out! Thank goodness for that! Having a ลูกครึ่ง grandchild is a huge status thing for the grandparents! Huge advantage for the kid as well growing up here. Glad for you the house is moving forward. You won’t regret building it. After having gallbladder disease a couple years ago and losing 40 lb, I look a lot younger now than I used to. Most Thai women say I look 50 to 53. And I'm about to turn 66. Unfortunately I don't feel 50. I feel 60. Still. I can work on that and will. A lot of the women that I have talked to on apps in Thailand. Have children. One lady that I'm very much interested in as a young daughter and she's 43. I think that's about the lowest I would be willing or wanting to go. I'm not interested in dating someone in their twenties. As you say you have to know your own value and not go to high or low in searching. I know how I was as a parent but I don't know that I could ever comfortably go into that role again with a child that I didn't actually sire. Especially if it's a girl. I've not had that experience only boys. I would be afraid of doing the wrong thing, but at the same time you cannot just stand back and be removed from the situation if you choose to enter into that relationship. Tough decisions ahead I think. Or not get into that at all and just date women once or twice and move on. But that's not really me. You can't get a connection with somebody like that. So it's either a single full speed ahead or single for a while while searching for someone good. A needle in a haystack... Should keep me busy. Being able to drop 10 or 15 years from your appearance is a good thing. I seen too many guys who just let themselves go. I did that when I was married. The worst thing I ever did was to let my physical fitness diminish. But while I'm still breathing, I can change if I want to.
