I never went back there until I went on vacation to Virginia Beach when I was 21 and decided to go check out where I was born and was mind blown when I saw what kind of place it was. I’ve been in ghettos and projects all over the place from east to west cuz I was a dope head for a lot of years but I just couldn’t believe how gutter it was out there

I was born & raised in Portsmouth…especially in the downtown area…the dope game and gunplay has been serious ever since the late 80’s…Norfolk had a similar reputation but now that city is getting more press coverage for revitalization and economic recovery…Newport News also has a high crime rate…in the Tidewater and Peninsula area…God bless and strengthen the family members of the young people who lost their lives!
