As a designer, I felt it when you said "Communicating with designers is a pain in the ass". Thank god I'm a brand identity and web designer. Logo designers are really just graphic designers, so I agree that an A.I. generated logo is fine. But I see that the problem with DIY really is at the starting part, which is understanding target customers and visualising the brand values. Many people can't do this well.

It will consist of 2 small kitchens to be leased , a small bar which I will run, a dock to be leased for paddle boats,kayaks etc. outdoor seating , fire pit, and stage for live music. if you are planning to do marketing all the time - it will become quite helpful. thats why we have an in house designer.

Ah great qu. I’m not Wilson but I have an answer… it’s up to you really, how you want to start. If location is important to you, then start the research there. If a certain customer type is important to you, then look for them first. Eg, for me, to start with, it’s really important that I can monetise locally, I don’t want to travel far, so my area is very restrictive- so I will need to research what people around me want. Then things may change later … or a new business may come out later from researching a new type of customer further afield. So really- it’s up to you what you want to start on. And actually I think he did say in the beginning and answer your qu- specify some values YOU want to start with. And start your research from there. He crammed a LOT of info in this video. To be honest, every sentence could be broken down even more. So literally take each step at a time. For me this video was a good summary of dozens of hours worth of a marketing course I did last year. So yes he did say - first identify some values - then look for those types of customers. So i guess that may mean a different area than you first thought. But you could find a customer type that fits your values in SOME ways, if location was critical to you (like it is for me). Happy journey! I’m finally starting mine this week! I’m ready.

Yep for sure. But you want to have a compelling reason to do so. You see some bigger brands to a refresh after like a decade (pepsi, burger king, etc.). Sometimes it is to modernize the brand and that is ok. Just need to commmunicate why and let your customers understand.

Music is too loud and each time something pops on your video that DUMMMM noise is annoying as hell because all thru out a video it's dummm dummm dummm. Like we see stuff on the screen cause we are watching you, you don't have to do 20 DUM DUM DUM and music is too loud, hard to focus on your words. Excellent content though, thank you for putting it out

Amazing information throughout the video unfortunately that kind of logo making sites are the perfect example of what not to do! It doesn’t make any sense introducing this kind of services after all the good information you provided. The generated logo was a total fail, it looked like an old Microsoft word clip art. Please HIRE A DESIGNER! There are a lot of affordable designers that would do a much better job! As he said branding is not just a logo, and just creating the perfect logo for your business takes much longer than few minutes choosing few things that you liked and put them together!

I work in the food design industry for years now. I found your channel to be interesting, lots of interesting info. One thing bothers me is that you say that Design is key and in the same time your recommand some Ai over a whole team of designers, tailoring the brand to the story and the being of the company. Those Ai programs are trash, I bet you know it as well.

Restaurants dont fail because of bad branding, but because of bad food, inconsistent service and way down the line bad branding....

Lost me when he started advertising for Taylor Brands.. AI generated designs?! How awful. It’s basically quickly generated clip art that was used as an example on a bunch of stationary. Super, super turned off by that suggestion.
