We don't like mushrooms, what do you advise for a substitute? I just bought duck eggs, when do you add the egg?

Just omit the mushrooms and add the egg on top of the pork patty before steaming.

I'm your silent watcher from the Philippines. And I'm glad your back on your feet doing your passion of cooking. Love all your recipes and how you do each one. Love Chinese Foods and also my whole family, my late dad in law was a Chinese, a reason why we always eat at Ongpin's Restos often. Take care always and regards to your family 💕❤️💕

Hi Flo, so pleased to hear that you're almost mobile once again! These 4 recipes are great for Folks struggling with their food budget, we are very blessed that we've had our savings to dip into during the food price crisis in the U.K. Inflation on foodstuffs is still about 16-17% year on year, so not good. Sending you, Dude & the family our very best wishes. Thanks for all that you do.

There is a definite difference in mouth feel between spaghetti and spaghettini. I, for one, abhor spaghettini. My mom always used it. At the time, I liked it. Did not know any better. Once on my own, I never spaghettini. That was 50 yrs ago!

Add some dry mustard to the sauce. My recipe calls for soy, brown sugar, freshly ground black pepper, garlic, ginger, dry mustard, and Lawry’s salt. I use this for beef, chicken, fish, and pork, with a prepared jar of it in my fridge at all times. You may add oil; I do not.

50 min in my oven would not completely cook these cuts. Does the meat fall off the bones?

I’m assuming you mean the chicken… I like my chicken just cooked and not fall off the bone texture for this recipe. So you’ll have to cook longer if you want it fall off the bone.

I bought your book #1 plus a Wok and several of the seasonings you recommended. I'm a great fan of chicken legs and thighs like you all. But I can never get enough satisfaction out of the end results. The meat looks pink next to the bone and seems tough.
