This episode sounds more like a topic for lifestyle redesign instead of the endocrine system (just a thought)

I went from 87kg down to 69kg, and have been maintenaining 72kg for the past 3 years based on the advise of understanding how glycogen works. My HbA1c has also improved as a result. The advise came from a professional body-building coach. Perhaps it'll be a good topic for the future? "How bodybuilding professionals manage their diets?"

Just because someone who is "genetically" skinny and can eat anything they want (including unhealthy food) without getting fat, doesn't mean they are actually healthy. There's a thing called skinny fat where you might look skinny but actually have a high body fat percentage. Spot reduction/targeted fat loss does not exist. You'll still need to lose fat overall in your body to get a proportionate physique and the general rule of thumb for fat loss is being on a caloric deficit which is burning more than you eat. Exercising actually helps boost our metabolism such that even while at rest, we are still burning fat (aka basal/resting metabolic rate). Exercising/strength training also helps us in our functional strength that contributes to being able to do our daily activities such as carrying groceries, lifting our luggage to place in the overhead cabin on a plane, squatting down to carry/pick up your child, etc. Most people also don't realise that walking is one of the best forms of cardio that we can do because it's low impact and something that we are able to do daily. Clocking in at least 7k-10k steps daily is recommended, but going beyond 10k is great! Taking the stairs instead of escalators and lifts is also great.

i think the thought of 'its for my health' is harder to convince ourselves while we gain weight initially, and as it gets harder the inertia to start just keeps increasing then become very fat :/
