4 Month Ownership Review! 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition! BETTER than the Tundra TRD Pro?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I was about due to give you guys this ownership review... the last 4 months have flown by and this Land Cruiser Heritage Edition has been PERFECT! From comfort to power... practicality to appeal. We love it!
Do I regret trading in the Army Green Tundra TRD Pro for it? No. Do I genuinely miss the Tundra? Yes.
What are your thoughts?

@@firaz9090 I had to replace the transmission at about 300000 but that was my fault, I used it to tow stumps out in reverse and it was asking too much. It failed about 5000 miles after that. The biggest concern where I live is rust. That is an ongoing fight but she still is in fantastic condition. The front left ball joint failed at about 350000 which seems to be a weak spot. I replaced them both at that time. Brake lines and rear ac lines rusted out. Brakes have had a total failure due to corroded lines (front) at 400000. I live in the midwest of the USA and they love salt on the roads. Car is fantastic and if it ever gives up I will get another. It still drives fantastic and I just towed a motorcycle trailer 18 hours with no issues.

Exactly!... “Where the money goes to..” to the drive train. Where its needed for reliability. Also for the folks that says the electronics are “dated”, Toyota chose to keep what has been tried and true and battle hardened. Also for those who don’t like the emergency hand brake, I prefer that old style hand brake /parking brake over the new electrics of even over the foot activated styles. In emergencies, you can modulate these by keeping the button pressed to slow down the vehicle. Plus I like the positive engagement feel it gives me. Excellent video. Thanks!

Well the electronics are more dated than the tacoma and 4runner and Tundra infotainment systems which are all just as reliable. All of them are dated and simple but they could’ve at least put the Apple CarPlay and everything that was updated in the 4runner into the land cruiser since it cost double the price basically. But I could really care less, I have a 2018 4runner without the Apple carplay and I love how simple it is and I don’t really like complicated infotainment systems. Love the big buttons and knobs as well.

You are a very lucky man!!! *Note* Way better looking than the new LC-300. At least in my humble opinion. Plus, being the last built of this model, She is at her peak of reliability, and durability. About the price, you're right, it's little High, but, on the other end, if we consider the price of a new "Defender 110"with accessories, you just got a vehicle that would leave the Defender stranded in the middle of the trail, with a Christmas Tree of lights istead of the dashboard. Final thought.....if you are planning on whelling with this wonder, put some 33s on those amazing wheels, a 2,5 inches "OME" lift, and you will go where the Defender wish it could...

Great review and great looking LC! We bought our used 2013 LC last year and we absolutely love it! I wish the gas mileage was better or they had the larger gas tanks like they have in the rest of the world. The LC has always been my dream car and I’m so grateful to own one. We’ve always kept our vehicles for at least 10 years and the LC is the only vehicle I wouldn’t think twice about buying new for $90,000 because I know we’d keep it for many years. I think my favorite things in it are the super cold A/C and the fridge in the center console which is sad they don’t put in the Heritage Edition. If you get tired of those cup holders, there’s a guy on Etsy that makes 3D printed cup holder replacements that hold a standard can/cup and a Hydroflask. It was probably my best mod on mine. Getting the factory front coil spacers installed will also fix that front end rake and make it look a little better especially with those TKO’s.

Untamed Motors Yes it is, and still the only one SUV you can run the outback in the day stop by the car wash and go to a red carpet event in the night without any shame. People here buy them over the BMWs, Mercedes GL series, Audi Q series, Jaguars and Range rovers which are cheaper. Only market rival is the G-Class. You get a 4,5 liter twin turbo Diesel V8 engine and a ton of reliability and heritage. There is a saying here regarding The land Cruiser translated it says more or less this: “For the ones who don’t change with the success” basically it means the Cruiser is for people who work hard but when are successful don’t try to look fancy with European or US cars and just keep using the reliable and practical brand they used from the beginning when they started. Usually this is accompanied by an add showing a young guy receiving the keys of an old fj40 and starting to work with it on a farm and growing on business with a few hilux trucks, later some Hino bigger trucks and later more mature receiving the keys of a LC200 to go to a big meeting and receiving a production award. If I can find the add will send you the link. 😁 hopefully will have my first 100 series by December 😁 and hope to meke the jump a few years later to a 300 series.

Yeah, the LC200 will be the last Land Cruiser in the U.S. For the LC300 coming in 2021 they will only bring the Lexus LX variant to the U.S. which is basically same underneath the fancier looks.

Thanks for this video. I sold my 2013 Land Rover LR4 (built up) for a 2018 Land Cruiser and never looked back. I did love my Land Rover, but it just was not aging how I wanted as far as reliability. I had many great overland trips in the Land Rover, but I needed something more reliable. After doing a lot of research, I decided on the Land Cruiser. I also have the BFG A/T KO2s. I get a lot of questions comparing the LR4 to the LC200, but it all depends on your needs. I loved my LR4, but I love and respect the LC200! I don’t see myself ever selling it and I feel confident that it will last for many years.
