By screaming he is trying to communicate or get your attention. My baby boy did that. Putting things in mounth could be not teething. It's one of the ways exploring the tastes and textures.

Hi Kayla, I love how real your channel is. I think even with him giving him trouble to nap if he slept better through the night you could be so much more rested. I hope when you start rice cereal it will fill him up and let him sleep better. I feel your pain with Teething my baby is less than 2 weeks ahead of Jackson and she's going through it but but it's absolutely clear your a great mom . Can't wait to see if sleep is better once he starts on solids. 🤗

You’re doing great! You obviously try different things to see what is best for your babies, and don’t push anything on them that isn’t working. ❤️ I wanted to tell you that yesterday I laid down to take a nap (7 months pregnant), and my husband woke me up after 17 minutes to tell me something.... and I literally thought JACKSON THAT IS NOT SUFFICIENT NAP TIME! God bless you, woman. Because that is so short. 🧡😰🧡 also, Jackson looks adorable in yellow!

Hi, I would wait on solids. Do your research and decide what’s best for him. Pediatricians aren’t the be all end all. There’s research that says that waiting until 5/6 months allows them to have a more mature gut for them to process food. Follow what you did with Riley. :)

Hi, I love watching your channel because my son is only couple weeks younger than yours. I think jackson was distracted from feeding because his vision and hearing are getting better and more clear so he’s more curious about his surroundings. This will happens from time to time and usually last only a couple days and he will go back to normal pretty quickly. My son experienced the same thing twice and we just tried to feed him in an isolated area in our house and feed him more frequently to ensure that he will get enough feeding. For his sleeping, I noticed when I waited till my baby to get too sleepy to put him down he gets more fuzzy and harder to fall asleep. So Now I put him into his crib whenever I see signs of him getting tired (zoning out, not interested in playing, scratching eyes...etc), he goes to sleep much easier. I used to wait till a little longer thinking that it will be easier If he’s more tired but it was the opposite, he would cry nonstop and just couldn’t sleep. Every baby is different, and you are doing awesome. Cheers to motherhood :)

Hey mama I love your videos. I’ve watched you since I was pregnant. My baby is 3 months old and we went through the SAME things with the constant crying and reflux issues and not sleeping. It’s soooo frustrating don’t feel bad if you lose your cool it’s so hard. I started using the Huckelberry app bc of you and it’s helped me soooo much to keep track of my baby’s sleep cycle. I tried everything and I just decided to switch to Similac for Sensitive tummies and our lives have changed so much in a positive way. Try NOT giving him any breastmilk especially at night! I am still pumping to keep my supply up in case she is able to go back to breastmilk. And trust me I had dreams of breastfeeding for a year or more and tried to do everything naturally but we noticed such a huge difference in sleeping with formula alone bc it keeps them full way longer. If you still want to breastfeed try doing it during the morning and never at night. I noticed my baby sleeps so much better at night with formula. I tried going back to breastmilk this week for 3 days and sure enough she went right back to crying all day when trying to eat, constant hiccups, constant pooping and she would never nap more than 20 mins. Now she naps 1-1.5 hours and sleeps through the night with only 1 early morning feeding. I hope this helps. I feel your sleep deprived pain lol. You got this! I can’t imagine having 2 little ones to take care of being so tired. You’re doing the best you can! Thank you for your videos. I’m alone all day with my baby and haven’t left the house in so long so you keep me sane lol 🤗🤗🤗

My baby girl eats forever so the “up for 60-90 min schedule” isn’t really accurate for her. I just watch for cues that she’s tired and try to get her to nap. Every baby is different in the way they nap and sleep. We’ve been very fortunate overall with her sleep so far, although her naps are only 30-40 minutes as well. She was born 12-20-19 so right after yours.

My 3 month old (almost 4 months) has also been teething and has had an extreme loss of appetite. I was so concerned and I took him to the doctor because he developed a huge rash on his cheek. She said to get him tested for Covid-19 if the rash gets bigger. At this point she couldn’t really tell if he’s actually teething or if he has Covid-19 symptoms. 😩

Im so distracted with seeing Riley in the background (and in front of the camera). Lol. Anyways, Jackson is super cute and I can relate with the challenges you are facing. So much different research to do and decisions to make. Do read up on the baby led weaning (i am too). There are recommended ways on how to cut the solids (like banana etc) to reduce choke risk. Search for gag vs choke on babies too. All the best!

I know you're an experienced mama, but since its been a while for you here are some tips: mix the cereal with breastmilk/formula, NOT WATER. It will taste more familiar to him (the directions will also say to do this, it will never say to mix with just water!) Also with solids, add some apple, pear or banana puree to the cereal mix before starting straight purees! I did this about 2 weeks after i starting my little guy on cereal, and it made the transition MUCH easier. He doesn't reject ANY puree's i give him, as long as i mixed them with the cereal before giving them to him straight.

Kayla, please, research the recommendations: it is strongly advised to wait till 6 months for starting solids. It is related to their digestive system being not ripe yet. These recommendations are relatively new, but scientifically proven. And regarding teething, it might not be it. He has started oral stage of development, when they learn about the world through their mouth. No need in paracetamol.

Huckleberry. It's a great app for tracking sleep, and then after a few days of tracking sleeping habits, and it's based off of age as well, it has a part called "sweet spot" you can set up which suggests a window of nap time based off sleep cycles, morning start time and bed time you set.

Oh honey I'm praying for you that you and Jackson get some good sleep asap!! I know this is an old video I had to catch up I haven't been watching in several months but the Lord put it heavy on my heart to check back up on ya especially since hes still having issues sleeping and pooing. My son didn't have any issues with anything until after he started getting vaxxed then the tummy troubles started and the sleep regressions and then his skin started to get irritated for no reason cradle cap and eczema he started w allergies and would wake up in the middle of the night just screaming this high pitched scream for no obvious reason he was dry and fed but something was going on and I couldn't figure it out until after his 15 month shots when everything drastically changed and I was forced to do more research on the vaccines. Did you know that you can't sue the makers of vaccines if you fot a contaminated batch or if you had a reaction that caused permanent damage or even death?? They're exempt from liability bc soo many ppl were being injured by vaccines back in the 80s they threatened the pres at the time that if they didn't get immunity from lawsuits they wouldn't make vaccines anymore! Not only that but there's a special somewhat secret court that's specifically for vaccine injuries and drs claim that its a 1 in a million chance someone would have a reaction but there's NO science to back that up and instead there's loads of science that supports the opposite. Its like 1 in 47 kids will be injured by a single vax. Did you know that NONE of the vaccines on the schedule have been tested for safety or efficacy by the gold standard of medical testing?? Also they've NEVER tested how safe or unsafe it is for a baby to get multiple different vaccines at the same time?! Theyve never studied the accumulative effects of vaccines in babies or children. They study and test vaccines for chickens more thoroughly than they do our chiidren!! Its barbaric! I can't help but think that a lot of Jacksons problems are being caused by the adjuvants in vaccines like my son. From aluminum, mercury formaldehyde, aborted fetal cells caterpillar parts cocker spaniel parts monkey kidney cells I could go on and on lol but I'll spare you that. Most drs and nurses themselves aren't even aware of this info bc all they know is what they've been taught and if you know a Dr and ask them how much time they spent on vaccines in school and it would shock you. I was told they spend less than half a day on vaccines and its ONLY how to administer them, when and to who they DON'T touch on what's ina vax or how its designed to work or how certain people w certain predisposition can NEVER be vaxxed bc it could kill them or what to look for when somebody's having an "adverse reaction" I put that in quotes bc what I'm learning is that adverse reactions are nothing more than a DIRECT EFFECT of something but bc its an undesirable effect they refer to it as an adverse event lol its twisted how mainstream medicine is these days. They throw all science and logic out the window and its alll about pharma and what pill they can give you and notice that pill is never a cure lol it just keeps bringing you back for more and more pills and tests. GOD knew what he was doing when he created our awesome bods lol as well as everything around them. Theyve also NEVER looked at the longterm effects of a fully vaxxed child opposed to a fully unvaxxed child and say they will NEVER do such a study bc it would be unethical to not vax a group of children lol thats a load of crap bc there are several pockets of unvaxxed kids around the world whether they're Amish or just simply educated and chose not to vax but a scientist from Mississippi did a small scale vaxxed VS unvaxxes study and it explained why the CDC and FDA refuse to do a study like it bc it just proved that umvaxxed kids were a thousand times healthier!! Rates of allergies and eczema, gastrointestinal problems, nervous system disorders, neurological disorders like autism and ADD were allll drastically lower in the unvaxxed group almost nonexistent in some cases. But if anybody speaks out against it they're labelled as an antivaxxer and thats just not right.. I was raised to "believe" in vaccines and trust the whitecoat wearing ones as if they were GOD and vaccination is a religion at the end of the day. As a Christian and a mother had I known just a piece of what I know about vaccines now I would've NEVER allowed my sweet babyboy to be vaxxed. Over my dead body lol. I just thank God we stopped at 15 months bc I probably wouldn't still have my son... so many babies die after vaxxing but bc we're told so much how safe and effective they are, when something does happen we don't even question if it was from the vax bc thats just not an option right?? And thats where we're soo wrong.. everyone is different including all your individual children so just bc one handled vaccines on doesn't mean that your second child won't have a problem bc theyre toxic load isn't as heavy as others.. it just depends on what their limit is. And with my son he has a MTHFR Gene mutation that is a methylation issue so his body doesn't detox toxins and unnatural poisons out of his body natural like most can and then when they tell us to give them Tylenol before and after a set of shots we're just screwing them up even more and making it even more difficult for their little bodies to detox alll the garbage they just had plunged into their little legs or arms. Tylenol depletes glutathione and thats what the body NEEDS to detox naturally and THEY KNOW THAT!!! If they have a fully vaxxed patient they have a patient for life bc you will constantly be in the drs office for something whether its just colds and flus bc they're immune systems are soo suppressed from the vaccines they're more susceptible to other illnesses. Its just a Neverending viscous cycle that will repeat itself UNLESS YOU take the time to educate yourself bc the mainstream drs are brainwashed and can't see past what pharma tells them. Next time you go ask for a vaccine package insert and READ THE WHOLE THING lol not the VIS vaccine info sheet they give you with BS on it but the actual insert that came with the vaccine vile.. or use duckduckgo and search for it. Also www.learntherisk.org and www.vaxxter.com or the national vaccine info center www.nvic.org there's soo much good good info out there you just have to find it bc big tech and big pharma are censoring BIG TIME!! I swear they're trying to kill us allll we have to arm ourselves with knowledge if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask I'd be more than happy to help guide you to the right source or share my experiences with you 😊 GOD bless you luv!!

He is fine. Baby's get cranky and full of complaints about their gum pain plus he's very vocal. This is not screaming. If you had a truly colicky baby, they scream at the top of their lungs in pain and distress non-stop to the point you wonder when they are going to take a breath. As in, it can disturb neighbors it is so loud and never-ending. Parents literally begin to lose their reason from the constant noise and total lack of ability to influence it. He has no way to get help for his gum discomfort other than to grumble so you can hear him. Are those teething keys hard or do they have some give to them, so that he can really chomp on them? He's just being vocal and making normal baby noises right now. Does Joe have earplugs for while he's trying to work? LOL. His starting to take solids, purees, semi-solids may be good for his having more in his belly to hold him overnight for longer stretches of sleep. And it could help allow him to poop a bit more frequently. It's fine if he doesn't exhibit an allergy to anything. He may be ready. Give rice cereal a try first. What a precious shot at 6:47 of Jackson checking out what Riley is doing that might be of interest to him to get into with her. Screen time can be essential as a babysitter, in some instances. It is now crucial for those homeschooling. But you want to read the studies about how screen time negatively affects their temperament and behavior, especially later in the day because the effects build up over time. And it can affect learning negatively at later stages of elementary school and middle school, rather than early on when their learning is similar to what was addressed on their screen time. Absolutely, the baby carrier would have forced him to develop neck strength in order to look up at your face. It doesn't do anything for allowing him the sorts of movements he's experimenting with now that will lead to rolling over and crawling. And in his case it got gravity working on his bowels. LOL. You have a beautiful family, as is. Do not let anyone else pressure you into anything that you may not be ready for or actually happy about. I never understand why, when you have a toddler on one knee and a baby on the other, anyone would ask when the next baby is coming. Can you not be permitted to enjoy the stages of your present offspring and guide them well through those? They only get more expensive, your life begins to include more jobs like chauffeuring and tutoring, and the problems of our children switch from headaches to more heartaches. It is tough to watch a precious baby struggle through tummy time. But it gets worse with watching them struggle with schoolwork or learning disabilities or sports, etc. And all this is threaded through with the knowledge that it is not our job to be loved, but to love, and not to be their friend, but their guide to a responsible, happy adult life in which they will be beloved contributors. It is our job to properly socialize them, not to spoil them. It gets harder not to fix everything, but teach them how to problem-solve. Maybe Jackson will be your easy teenager and Riley will give Joe a run for his money as the father of a teenaged girl. It's never easy. It is actually recommended that you holler "ouch" when they try to bite your breast because they have to get the message clearly that it's painful and a big no-no. In that case startling them into recognition of the problem is a good thing. He is not only letting you know when he is uncomfortable, but he is reacting to things around him. Plus he is, literally, finding his voice and learning all the sounds he will need to practice to make words. Good for him that he's vocal. It's cute and funny. Kayla, you can start him on rice cereal and move on to squished banana or avocado or sweet potato. If he doesn't show any allergies, there is no harm in mixing both purees with solids and semi-solids. He may like to be fed purees earlier in the day and want to handle his own food by suppertime. Or vice versa. Generally, raw foods take more energy to digest than cooked ones, so that may influence when you feed him which options. Remember that little gags and tongue thrusts are not choking. The gag reflex is further forward in the mouth in a baby than with an adult and both that and the tongue thrusts, that sometimes make some of the food come out of their mouths in a lava flow, are just them getting used to what it feels like and tastes like in their mouths and that they are supposed to chew and swallow. These are all new to them. Dribbles out of the mouth do not mean they don't like it. They will actively spit it or shut their mouths tightly if they don't want the food, even when they've just had enough or are not hungry. The pieces of food need to be large enough for him to handle and grab and chew. He could be eating much of what you and Joe eat by 6 months or so, but purees will remain a go-to as snacks or when you are on the go. He's squealing and communicating. We love it when he talks to us. You all are doing just fine.

I feel you, My baby girl just turned 4 month old the last week and she was all fussy and cranky the last 3 weeks, I think she was going through the sleep regression, before that she wasn’t sleeping perfectly but not waking up every 30min looking for the boob, I couldn’t take that anymore so this week we started the sleep training and it’s actually working even for her naps, her mood in general is better during the day, I feel like she’s more happy because finally she’s sleeping enough, even thought it was torture I think its worth it
