$4 Bamboo Briyani in Malaysia's Tea Plantation Heaven 🇲🇾
Cameron Highlands is known for stunning tea plantations and nature in general so in this video I decided to go for a tour and visit several places while making my way back to Ipoh.
During this trip I also tried the famous Bamboo Briyani and as a dessert the Lempeng Pisang.

With my KZread videos I aim to show a different perspective than what most travel vloggers would do by interacting with people and really getting the local insights of the places I visit. No matter their social background I treat everyone equal. Sometimes this results in awkard conversations but I love it!
**Support my channel and the people I meet**
All donations will go back to the communities during my travels, this can be through staying or eating at small businesses or even donating this money right back through one of my donations projects.

The freshly picked strawberries are definitely delicious, I envy you! The cooking method of that bamboo rice is very similar to the Taiwan aboriginal bamboo tube rice, but the rice type is different, and the rice has a distinct aroma of bamboo after it is cooked! I understand your complicated mood when drinking durian tea. If possible, I will volunteer to be your assistant, haha! What a beautiful day, thank you so much for sharing! 👍🥰🙌
I love the LEGEND thing in the end of video. I always replay that part. 🤣

I love Lempeng Pisang Kelapa ❤. One of our traditional snacks in the kampung… best with a hot plain tea…. especially on a rainy day. Legenddddd
Thats not the army logo but it is the coat of arms of the Pahang state .
The restaurant has a wonderful design, represented by the appropriate lighting, the comfortable colors of the furniture and paint, and the comfortable division. The restaurant is very clean and the chef is wonderful with the gloves. He really gives the restaurant a unique personality that gives the customer an excellent impression.
Good video trip that you have today.... I really enjoy it... tq for making good video and share your journey...
Strawberry tea is also nice to try it. • watching from Melaka, Malaysia 🇲🇾🌺

Lata Iskandar can be scary when it raining, you can see the high volume of water pouring down to the waterfall with the noise it made, it was amazing yet scary. Love your video Tim, always looking forward for your next videos on your journey in Malaysia. Keep it up!
You must try nasi lemak sambal strawberry
Sometime ago I spent about 2 weeks in Cameron Highlands qnd stay in a house far away from the main road 😊 Just enjoy the quiet and natural ambience.

Your passion for the topic really came through in this video, thank you for sharing.
Hi Tim great adventure..but that "soup " was actually gravy for the bamboo briyani rice..😂..but they are so lightly prepared these days one may think it's soup😂..very good adventure n narration in Camerons 46:47
Hi mate, just wanna to share, I’m Malaysian live in Australia, please don’t use a big note in malaysia, prefer to use 5, 10 or 20 ringgit note. By the way I’m ur new fan 🎉😂. Cheers!!
You pronounce the place names so well. So glad you made these on my home country. Love from Australia
Interesting video 👍 Do visit Gunung Lang Cave in Ipoh ..a lot to venture.. Tasik Banding Belum Forest aka The Tasek Banding Virgin Forest.. Btw, Malaysian forest is unique it's the oldest rainforest in the world, older than the Amazon Rainforest, you can find it's rich with flora and fauna and wildlife conservation too.. Have scooter will travel Tim !! 😁
What a wonderful coverage ! Keep up the great work.
U eat rice using ur fingers the correct way. Bravo sir
adohai Tim .. terliur nengok ekau layan brayani tu
Lempeng Pisang is one of the best my country Tim👍
That's why we always go there on weekdays..
Thank you Tim for exploring and let the world know more about Malaysia. ❤
Thank you very much I served you this Biryani and cooked it myself. Will come again stay well.
I presume the flavours of the bryani spices are trapped in the bamboo n absorbed in the rice n that is what makes tasty
Gotta try the bamboo beriyani. Looks tempting. Bon appetit.
Malaysia has its own versions of food. For instance roti canai looks like Paratha and may be influenced by it, but its made from different flour and texture as well as ingredients. Same goes for Briyani in Malaysia compred with Biryani of Iran, Middle East, India or Pakistan.
If you're still in Malaysia, you have got to try Lepoh Falls in Hulu Langat. A bit of a hike, but well worth it. Remember to bring swimming gear!
I'm also amazed by the tea plantations view
thanks for enjoying the nature here tim, for strawberry picking i suggest you find any farm by the road side. there will be assistant and probably had a better one to harverst
i would've never imagine riding moterbike from ipoh to cameron, its far
Welcome to Malaysia.. dont forget to visit Kedah too, here got many waterfall too.. citizens here are really sporting, dont worry.. if you need to try the best Nasi Kandar, come to Alor Setar Kedah.. the taste too much different, i recommend Restoran Yasmeen & Restoran Haji Ali... Seriously different with a lot of 'rempah' taste, and it price very cheap.. others dishes also many here, very cheap & delicious. Trust me!!! You know why, because here in Kedah our living cost and the rental shop lot is low, than the restoran owner may provide you with best+more ingredients, so the taste of most dishes will be very delicious & cheap than in center Malaysia.. not more than RM10 each with 1/4chickens+rice.. Try to find this 'Pasembur', 'Rojak buah', 'Air Nira' and more.. ❤️❤️❤️ The other thing is many Malaysian married with european now, till my neighbour too.. 😊
I miss lempeng so much😭
Great video, I can’t wait to see more from you.
Luckily you hv a scooter. I must say CH has very bad traffic and parking issue
This was a very informative video, thank you for your hard work.

If you haven't already, try traditional Malay food during the festive season (Hari Raya Aidulfitri and Hari Raya Aiduladha). The food is Lemang. It is cooked in bamboo. It is also eaten with chicken or beef rendang and spicy peanut sauce.
Wow so fresh
Fun fact: Iskandar = Alexander (the Great). My Cikgu Baharudin named his first born son "Iskandar Zulkarnain" and we were very very happy and proud for him. Cheers.

Hello Tim 🙋 I just saw your vedio 👍👍👍👍👍 amazing. Later you also must come to Sabah and try some of delicious food there, and friendly people 🤗 Good luck and enjoy with your journey,May Allah bless you,🤲
The ice cream you took is "cham" (pronounced as chump) mixture of coffee and tea. In coffee shops you can order "chump" instead coffee or tea

Here in East Malaysia, we even have chicken, pork and fish cooked in bamboo.
🕙 Time 3:26 Pahang State Emblem - That's not an 🪖🚫 Army coat of arms but the Pahang State Emblem. 🕙 Time 3:30 Transmission Tower Symbol - Opposite the state emblem on the upper right hand corner is a symbol of a transmission towel 🗼 . 👉🏽 Most transmission towers are restricted area to public hence possibly that warning sign that you can not proceed further although it is only 750m away. 🕝 Time 4:13 No Drone Zone - Possible also due to the nearby transmission 🗼 tower restrictions rules. 🤓 Pahang's coat of arms consists of four elements: the spear head, Jawi scriptures between the spear head, dual tusks, and a motto at the bottom. 🤓 Pahang State Flag is equally sample. It consists of a simple horizontal bicolour flag with equally proportionate bands of white on the upper half and black on the lower half. 🤔 In case you have forgotten, 🇲🇾 Malaysia is made up of 13 States and 3 Federal Territories. one of the state is the Pahang State. 😮 By the way, in your traveling to Camaron Highland KZread where you inquired how far away is the nearest petrol station, those various flags you saw with 🇲🇾 the Malaysia flag are the various state flags.

Hi welcome back
In Malaysia, everyone is called "boss". Be it the seller or customer.
When will you upload the Indonesia vlog?
The bamboo Briyani the name is just a gimmick. Actually the biryani is cooked separately like other biryani and the chicken also. Both are then placed inside the bamboo. Covered and steam hot all the time so if anyone buys it the rice is kept hot. Biryani rice must be eaten hot or else the flavors will not be good. The way to eat is you must put some curry into your rice , put some chicken and eat it then you will taste all the flavors . The curry is not a soup to be eaten like you did with a spoon ha.. ha.. 😬 But you are very adventurous Tim. But I suggest that you must always ask . The people are very friendly only they are shy sometimes they don't understand English very well. Lempeng pisang kelapa. Lempeng in Malay is pancake, pisang=banana, kelapa=coconut. Don't mixed up with KEPALA means HEAD. All the best for your journey.
In Malaysia.. we address everyone as ‘boss’ 😂.. just our linggo calling other people boss.. it is something like ‘bro’ or ‘bruh’ 😅
U should get drone for urself if u really want to get nice pictures n viewing...😊
you make me hugry with that Lempeng banana
16:17 romantic picture. Good lord 😂😂😂😭😭
Dont advise you to park the bike out of your sight
Put d curry bowl on d table...out of d plate...
I malaysia you need mix all item into that bryani or other food.
Instead of give 5 ringgit you give 50 ringgit so kind my friend
first
If you were to explore mossey forest...and if you want to see the real gems and magical..you have to continue your journey beyond the end gate of Mossey Forest..it call Mossey Forest of Irau Mountain...but you need to arrange for permission first
U didnt go to the choclate factory??
A bit pricey for the ice cream normally around less than 3 ringgit for that simple single scoop of ice cream 🍦😊
Cameron highlan kat negara mana he banglades ke 😁😁😁 😁
