Foreigner can't stop OVEREATING Malaysian food for 24 hours

Now, I didn't intend on starting this food video off with a room tour, but it was so nice, I thought why not. Of course, my fascination with the remote controlled toilet was due justice. I mean the remote had range deeper than Steph Curry.

My first meal (and last), 9times out of 10 are always going to be Nasi Kandar. This is one of the first places I ever ate it. I love places like this because it really immerses you into the culture and country. Even for being such a famous stall the prices seem fair and the staff is helpful and friendly.
Mohd.Yaseem Nasi Kandar Restaurant
maps.app.goo.gl/YksvWTL6nDSiM...
Rain, sunshine, or whatever the weather wants to throw at me wasn't enough to stop me from going all the way out here to cool off with a cendol. I like this place because they have Musang King durian Cendol which is my favorite. Don't be confused though, it's all about the coconut and palm sugar!
Cendol Durian Runtuh
maps.app.goo.gl/BeUZYhAiSVvG3...
Just an OG place for Chili Pan Mee. This is one of my favorites, but that isn't saying much since it's the only place I have had this. Still as good as I remember. Kinda like fast food Malaysian style, get in, eat, and get out.
Kin Kin Restaurant
maps.app.goo.gl/eV7WiC357Hu2z...
After breakfast, I decided to walk around the market as it has been years since I have explored this part of KL. It's busy and you can see locals getting along with their day. I got some Mangoes from a nice man, but having been in this area before, I was ready to head on to a different area of the city.
Chow Kit Market
maps.app.goo.gl/May84GHJJWXz9...
Do the right thing, when you see these drink stalls and coconuts then stop and get you a little drink.
I got the Soya Cincau becuase it sounds like "xin chào" in Vietnamese. This was good and refreshing but I wish I would have gotten it with the palm sugar and not the white sugar.
Soya Cincau
maps.app.goo.gl/DWzrB6eDBoSG4...
Okay, so if any food vlogger comes to KL, they always do Nasi Lemak at Village park(I did it too). However, I thought I would try another famous spot. The building is massive, but I am not sure it's my favorite Nasi Lemak. It was just okay for me, but I would come here every day for a Mango shake. It was probably the best fruit shake I have had all year.
Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kg Baru
maps.app.goo.gl/Tsh3crt6GT5tN...
Apparently I had some post meal brain fog as I decided to use the local transportation, but showed that my small American brain couldn't figure it out. After about 20 minutes of failing to get on the train and then finally getting on a 5 minute ride, I decided that I want to explore another area of the city.
And that's for Claypot Rice. One of my favorite dishes when I used to live in Hong Kong. But I have never gotten to try the Malaysian version. The place I was originally going to go(Heun Kee) is closed on Thursdays.
But all things work out. There was a sweet drink lady who spoke English and helped walk me through the ordering process. I got everything which was the salted fish, marinated chicken, Chinese sausage. It's amazing to see the cooking process because so many are done at one time. This was really good, but I was unable to finish and that is when I knew it was time for this video to be over!

Musang King is the top durian variety, just like the Rolls-Royce of cars. I believe that bowl of ice cream will be super delicious! I am very happy to watch you helping them pick up the aluminum cans scattered on the road. You are a kind-hearted person and you will definitely be rewarded! Thanks a lot for sharing, you did a really great job! 👍🥰👏 P. S. Sorry I always write a lot of words, please forgive my imperfect English. And I want to share the following correct information: The Cincau (Grass Jelly) is a Traditional Chinese Herbal Dessert, Cincau is the pronunciation of Grass Jelly in Mandarin. It is black-brown looking gelatine that has a mildly bitter taste and is mostly eaten with milk or some syrup. Traditionally it is created from boiling leaves or stems from mesona plants and a small amount of cornstarch or rice flour to make this herbal dessert. This grass jelly plant is cultivated in many East Asian countries including China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. They usually grow in dry, grassy, and sandy areas. According to studies, grass jelly is often used to help reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and protect our body against liver disease and diabetes.

Nasi lemak is like empat ekor (a gamble), sometimes you will pass a road side stall with a long que and it will taste amazing. Somerime you will get rubbish. These stalls are usually only in the mornings and finish very fast.

You are definitely right, I'm with you with nasi lemak, I like it simple, but once in a while, I also like to add either fried chicken, chicken rendang, sambal sotong or paru goreng. Somehow, I felt like the girls behind the counter weren't that helpful and courteous when you asked simple question about the chicken. Anyway, nasi lemak is my all time No. 1 comfort food in Malaysia.

Yes, cincau (chin-chow) is grass jelly. People say that nasi lemak served at Wanjo is tourist traps but i ate there recently and of course the nasi lemak there taste delicious 😋🤤 albeit the price is more expensive than other restaurants but still delicious 😋🤤.
