In Malaysia, you pay first then you fill. First you have to note the number of the pump that you park your bike or car. Then tell the cashier the number and amount(in RM)you want. The computer will set the exact amount of petrol that you fill into your car/bike. FYI, you can pay and fill, the pump will automatically stop the pump once it detects the tank is full. The remaining cash is refunded back at the counter if the amount you paid is more. All petrol stations in Malaysia are self-service because we want to cut down on labour.

Some cashiers or petrol station operators do that, for SOME not. for me, my regular station, i park my car there, i shout " kak , Penuh". then she will allow me to refuel FULL, after that, i walk to the cashier to make payment for FULL TANK.

hiii Tim , im hanafi here ..let me help you next time before you refill your gasoline... make sure double stand your motorcycle first then refill the gasoline.. pay at counter petrol station let say rm10 cause you using scooter bike...and say full gasoline or you can say in Malay word "Penuh" mean if refill rm6 or rn7 then balance will be refund back money to you...The Cameron Highland are in Pahang , Peninsular Malaysia...Pahang flag white, and black... Perak flag white, yellow and black..( Ipoh is capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak.). Johor flag moon and star are white colour, red and blue..Terengganu Flag moon and star are white... basic colour is white and black...Port lepak mean Hangout place...that kids say Ganu style is mean they enjoy the way of Terengganu living way...they're from Terengganu state..riding Yamaha Brand Y16 Specs..🙂...safe ride..

Malaysian arent so creative with naming things 😂😂 most of our drinks or food literally meant the ingredients 😂😂 grass jelly drinks is made of some sort of herb grass and turn into jelly and turn into drinks, or in Bahasa we call it "Cincau", can be added into other drinks as well like Jagung Cincau (corn grass jelly), bandung cincau ( rose grass jelly), teh ais cincau (milk tea grass jelly).. if you love nature, can consider coming to Kelantan via Highway Timur Barat (Gerik-Jeli), if you're lucky, you could spot wild elephant, maybe make a stop at Tasik Banding..or you could come to Kelantan via Gua Musang, the highway in between the limestone mountain (Merapoh) is just spectacular..

lepak means hang out... so "port lepak" is the place where you can hang out with friends or family.

Have scooter will travel..! It's a Friday afternoon surely the Malays going to Friday prayers and so most of the shops or stalls are not open in most parts of Peninsula Malaysia.. Btw, it's prohibited to use handphone at petrol station in Malaysia.. dangerous of explosion.. Glad that you made your exploration and adventure quite a cool one despite having some minor difficulties.. 👍

simplified. a) Find out your bike is park at which kiosk pump number (see the top of the petrol pump). b) Go to the counter (outside). You can first pay $20 (means MAX) . Tell them your pump number c) Go pump your petrol RON95. Since you are a foreigner, you do not get to pay the citizen subsidized price I believe. d) If your bike fills up to $15 , full and stops. Go back to counter , tell number, and they will rebate you $5. e) If your bike fills up max $20, it stops, and you don't need to do anything, and you can ride away after that. So, usually if not sure, you put deposit of $40-50, pump full and get the rebate from counter. That is how you pump, else,....ppl will pump and leave without paying. That is why you need to pay first. Your case... they just being lenient.

Try getting one of those plastic sleeve phone holder. I have one and it's extremely useful. The phone stays in the sleeve regardless of the bumps on the road and the plastic screen is capacitive, so you don't need to take the phone out of the sleeve. And it's also waterproof, very useful when you're riding in the rain.
