Actually ZhongLi is much more jade-related than most people would think. For example his famous shield created by skill and burst is described to be jade-like. His constellation also mentions jade. The geo bonus artifact set that nobody uses anymore also mentions him manipulating jade.

I think your theory about jade being the true form of the Geo element definitely holds water and I'm incline to believe it as of now. What I find interesting then is that this makes the element of Geo feel like a outlier compare to the other elements. Even with gods that were essentially created by Celestia with Egeria and I think Nahida(?) (and possibly Raiden Ei and Makoto as well, but that's just and assumption base on links and ideas from Shinto religions as of now), they "mimic" the elements well enough, even down to the visual colours of the element. So regarding this discrepancy, I did a quick look on jade, including wikipedia, and it looks like jade can come in various colours (though typical translucent green), which includes yellow and orange. I also saw this passage on the wiki page for jade: "Jadeite, with its bright emerald-green, lavender, pink, orange, yellow, red, black, white, near-colorless and brown colors was imported from Burma to China in quantity only after about 1800. The vivid white to green variety became known as fei cui (翡翠) or kingfisher jade, due to its resemblance to the feathers of the kingfisher bird.[8] That definition was later expanded to include all other colors that the rock is found in. It quickly became almost as popular as nephrite and a favorite of Qing Dynasty's aristocracy, while scholars still had strong attachment to nephrite (white jade, or Hetian jade), which they deemed to be the symbol of a nobleman." So with the very quick research on the subject (aka I want to do more research on this before I feel comfortable using this as evidence for my theory), I began thinking that the different colour for Geo doesn't stem from Celestia trying to "mimic" the element/Sovereign with a creation of their own god tied to it, but perhaps another one of those incidental references to Zhongli's origin (cause otherwise, I would think Celestia would try to mimic a Sovereign as close as possible). In specific, I've been theorizing for a while that Zhongli is similar to the likes of the twins and King Deshret who are theorized in being "stars", and is thus working with Celestia rather. And in fact, thanks to a content creator's recent theory video on Zhongli, I'm now leaning more so towards the theory that Zhongli use to be one of the God Kings of Teyvat until he took the role of Archon. So tl;dr, the properties of Geo currently is because of Zhongi and his origins, where Geo is still jade but has taken a different property, and thus a different colour . This is a pretty on the spot theory at the moment so I'll have to refine it, but it doesn't help that Zhongli seems to be able to control Jade as his shield and Stone Stele are called/connected to jade, and yet takes such wildly different "property" it seems. This also might further solidfy the theory that Azdaha is the Geo Dragon Sovereign considering Jadeite is typical white/translucent, and we all know what white "signifies" in the context of Genshin. Hmmm... Azdaha's resting place (and I think where Zhongli found him at first, or at least, close to it) does seem to be near where Chenyu Vale should be... Well, definitely have to think on and research more about this, but the pieces are certainly there.

not gonna lie, your image of "Jade" may be slightly flawed. "Jade" can have many, many colours. every colour of the rainbow in fact. It is not limited to Blue and green. That is in reality so too. In Genshin an example of that is the fact that Cor Lapis (from the shop called *Jade mystery* that is about bargaining with higher or lesser quality Jade) is a type of Jade. In fact there can also be red Cor Lapis (known as Cor Purum or Lapis Purum, it is from the Lore of the Blackcliff Weapons) that have the unique ability of resonating with the Ley Lines, which Azhdaha can interestingly do too. very interestingly, Cor lapis (let's call it "golden Jade") can be found within Zhongli's "Jade" Shield and in the effect that the geo statue gives off when giving you the element Geo. it are those yellow cubes that you can see. Geo at its highest purity seems to be in fact this Golden Jade, as proven by the Geo Hypostasis (which is confirmed to be the entity with the highest purity of Geo Element attainable possible), one can also see that the choice for Geo to be golden at its highest is highly simbolical, as the colour Gold/yellow represents very many things in the direction of divinity and rulership in China. in a similar way the choice also makes sense for purple and electro. Zhongli's title of "Deus Auri" or "贵金之神" (meaning God of Precious gold) is likely a reference to Zhongli's 6th constellation, "金玉，禮予天地四方", "Gold and Jade, gifts to the heavens, earth, and the four directions", which tells about his title of being the God of Wealth and creating loads of Gold that he then practically "gifts" to the whole World. as he is the one who created mora and the very only one that ever will or will be able to. but he doesn't just control the Gold distribution, as the God of the most prosperous Nation and the Nation which is best in trade itself, he had control over the entire World's Wealth. including Jade. Funny enough, if you twist the meaning of the constellation a bit, it could also give an explanation for why Zhongli constantly buys everything with the highest prize possible and is very careless with his money; he formly gives out Money and other riches to the whole world as if in form of a generous Gift. the title doesn't mean to say he actually only has control over gold like a gold bender since he evidently used Basalt for his Giant God destroying Spears in Guyun and also rose Mt. Tianheng out of the Ground which seems to be made from Granite. it is also not like Zhongli couldn't use the Jade as part of his own Power, as proven by his "Jade" shield and it being literally particles of Cor Lapis, golden Jade. There are also leaks of an unreleased Primordial Jade Claymore of which the lore tells how Zhongli would create Whales by creating great lengths and widths of Nephrite and Jadeite to then form them into magnificent Leviathans capable of combatting the very Gods of the seas (such as Orobashi, the God of the Lisha region, Baqiu and many others) that back then invaded Liyue. if anything, considering that Jade and Geo at its purest form are capable of resonating with the Ley Lines and the main Ability of Azhdaha and the other Geo Vishaps is to absorb the Ley lines and make themselves stronger by absorbing the energy and memories within, which also allows them to use other elements, I would instead theorise that the Ley Lines were Geo's original "Primordial Sea" of sorts. Perhaps his title "Bearer of the memories of the Earth" hints at him having been something like the original Heart of the ley lines (like an Irminsul but before the Irminsul even existed) and his limited use of the ley lines that just allows him to absorb them is due to his Geo Authority being stolen. anyway, good video. thank you for the revision of currently attainable knowledge about Chenyu Vale.

That's what I always wanted to see in the game, a character using another state of the element for example a Geo character using sand, iron, bronze, diamond a Pyro character using blue fire, plasma, etc

The title is more clear in CN so I wonder, where do Adepti comes from ? Celestia ? Also I like the Theory of a Jade Sovereign and would like it to be true but the clues pointing it to be Azdaha are too many in my opinion Also what do you think about Shangsheng ? Huh... This my first time learning about this translation difference for Zhongli's/Morax's title. Hmm, thinking about it, they did use such a term in the English localization for the Seelie that was connected to the traveler from afar in the "Records of Jueyun" book, so I can believe it. Never got the impression that Zhongli/Morax made the other Adepti, but we do know that he taught/gifted the other Adepti powers that we can see them use today (though so far, as far as I remember, we've only seen it with the creation of subspaces), so maybe people misinterpreted/misremembered that? Regarding your question about where the Adepti came from. Tbh, I think we can make an educated theory that they are a least beyond the firmament. I'm becoming more a more unconvinced though that Zhongli/the Adepti straight up came from/were made by Celestia. Rather, I've been theorizing that Zhongli (and I guess by extension the other Adepti) are "stars" in a similar vein to the twins and King Deshret. So at most, I'm thinking their more so working with/decided to make Celestia their home. But this theory is a story for another time, and we'll know the full story eventually I imagine. EDIT: Forgot to mention, but yeah. I'm becoming more an more convince that Azdaha is the Geo Sovereign as well. But Aru's theory certainly isn't an impossibility, though I would be a bit surprise if it doesn't end up being Azdaha at this point.

Adepti are genuinely just beings that obtained Illumination from Zhongli. none of them were "made" by him, they just got their state of Adeptihodd from him in the first place.

Cloud Retainer for exemple was a simple Crane that obtained Illumination state and got her consciousness, Being etc. Elevated. Taoist immortals are demi-gods. Adepti in Genshin are Demi-gods. Morax gave some of them their Illumination and a gift (special power or ability) along with it. This is why I said he "made" them.

Knowing location and time this may be reference from the Alchemist Jade Slab as it's highlighted quite a lot in Chinese culture. That being said it could've been broken into peices based on inscriptions for different pieces.

6:07 since chenyu vale and enkanomiya clearly have some relation (with chenyu vale being OLDER), and enkanomiya was into the primordial lenguage, seems to be logic that chenyu vale's original civilization was from primordial era... and all these "green" could be related to a celestial nail (or not).

I am guessing this is why Cloud Retainer we be with us for the next update. I initially thought it was just Lantern Rite related since she will create the biggest lantern for Shenhe. But it turns out, we will nost likely go to Chenyu Vale first to meet the two unknown Adepti before we celebrate Lantern Rite.

I just hope future updates can avoid getting dragging like how it happened with Sumeru. After Archon quest, Sumeru just lingered and lingered and lingered for an annoying length of time. If that was by design to make the release of Fontainne have more impact, well it worked wonders cause it was nice cool glass of water after a long desert trek XD

2024 will have Liyue and 2025 will likely have Mondstadt, with 2026-27 potentially with Inazuma and Sumeru additions (of unknown location). We may also get Natlan, Snez etc additional updates with areas to accomidate those Act II story quests for Archons (like in Sumeru), but it'd be broken up by an area from somewhere else.

Sumeru suffered due to the shutdown China had from an extra outbreak of the pandemic. What caused the "never-ending" Ayaka banner. So they shortened patches 3.0 through 3.3 to get back on schedule with 3.4 Lantern Rite. Sumeru had more content than Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma put together, and we got it in a shorter time span. Then the shutdown finally trinkled through the pipeline when they gave us the dryer 3.5 through 3.7 patches while they focused on bringing out Fontaine. So basically the playerbase got a massive drug shot and were forced into a withdrawal period. We only stabilized finally with Fontaine releasing.

I just finished 100% liyue and both overworld and underground chasm bruuuuuh, now more lique to 100% is coming out…

The Jade Sovereign theory us interesting but i doubt it will be true because they have already hinted for Azhdaha to be the Sovereign. Perhaps we will get lore abt Azhdaha during the Old World before Zhongli basically revived him.

I like this theory and we know jade can be literally any color with the highest quality of them being the green ones because they are the most pure, so it’s very accurate that the primordial jades weapons are made of green jade Also we literally call jades “Holy stones” in Arabic and we consider them sacred too, so I guess we have something in common with the Chinese culture✨😊
