Honestly...this motel scene was acted SO brilliantly. I could really feel Elena's emotions and the total and utter passion building. This episode overall was beautiful.

Yes kissing was definetly hot but this scene impressed me more than kissing .this is pure,innocent you know we saw how elena almost got a heart attack when he holded her hand and...oh god this is just so perfect!

When Damon said ‘when people see good they expect good , and I don’t wanna live upto anyone’s expectations’ Idk why but I kinda got teary . It reminded me of when he was human . He went to the war to please his father ,to meet his fathers expectations, but again his father called him a disappointment. I’ve always felt that’s one of his biggest fears , to disappoint the people he loves . So if from the beginning they think he’s horrible, then they won’t expect anything from him anyways and he won’t be disappointing them.

That’s the sad thing about Stefan. She put such higher expectations on him just because he was a good guy just with bad habits and fell off the handle here and there, and she couldn’t take it. Meanwhile, Damon’s always been the bad guy who occasionally does good things, but still screws things up, and Elena throws herself at him. 🙄 It doesn’t make any sense 🤦‍♀️. Oh well , Delena’s pretty entertaining, and they have chemistry. Their just toxic as hell though.

@@KaiLovesBeauty I really don’t see how they’re any more “toxic” than any other couple on TDV. Stephen basically has a Mr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde personality, with addictive tendencies. He’s only the good guy when he’s off human blood. Then he’s 10 times the villain Damon was. Bonnie dated Enzo in S8, and she chopped off his hand the season before. Not to mention Enzo tried to drown Elena once. You can’t look for morally perfect relationships in TVD lmao.

But Damon never started as a bad guy either...back in 1864, most of what he seemed to want to do was please people. The guy was let down and felt like he was always such a disappointment or never good enough, eventually I think anyone would say screw it I don't care anymore. Having others hate the thought of you is at least better than not being thought of.

This is my favorite scene before Elena becomes a vampire. She always knew how she felt about Damon, but this moment forced her to admit it. She went outside because she was trying to bury it, but Damon wouldn't let her. After she became a vampire, it wasn't a matter of denying her feelings because they were heightened. It was a matter of denying when she began to have those feelings in the first place. That's why her necklace scene is my favorite after she becomes a vampire.

Exactly. I feel like people who trash on their relationship use the sirebond stuff as an excuse, post-vampire transition, but it’s very clear she has feelings for Damon/loves him. Matt even calls her out on it when she says she can’t shake him, no matter what she does. He says you can’t shake the people you love, etc. Then it’s confirmed in S6, when Elena believes Damon is dead, Alaric forces her to admit she fell in love with him during her relationship with Stephen. She did everything she could to avoid it, but becoming a vampire made that impossible.

Damon makes her step out of her safety zone ... she definitely wont get bored with Damon :P

The way my heart physically aches at this scene! ‘When people see good they expect good, and I don’t want to live up to anyone’s expectations’ such a raw scene and beautiful captured.

This scen is one of my fav of delena❤️❤️ and for me the most iconic thing in this scene is the way damon's face changed when he find out that elena was staring at him and then she tried to avoid the eye contact by pretending that she's sleeping but then she just couldn't . Such a pure connection 🤤❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love Damon's character development in this show. Personally I find Stephen's character a bit more bland. I feel like Damon is the definition of the dark knight rises. I always loved stories about evil/ bad trying to embrace some semblance on their humanity and goodness. The way they make him so dislikable in the first season, and have you totally rooting for him by season 2 -3 is great story telling. I'm glad it ended the way it did, I love the underdog. Everyone always chose Stephen, but finally he gets the girl. Glad Nina left the show when she did. I would have been totally peeved to watch the whole show and have both the Salvatore brothers die. I love that Damon finally got the girl.
