I did exactly that for the baby shower , I used the registry as my list of things I still need. So useful to do the list , I started in the 2nd trimester and gradually added items to it

i am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my second pregnancy. I have 8 year old twins. This time there is only 1 baby! Thank Goodness! Between me and my husband we have 5 kids. I love watching your channel! You have taught me so much through this pregnancy. Its so much different being pregnant this time around with just 1 baby and im much older. I am 32 and this is my last baby. My husband says other wise.. lol but this mama is done! Thank you for being you and taking the time to make these videos!

35+5 and never heard of doing a breastfeeding basket! I'll be watching that next. Thanks for the great checklists!

I did my 3D ultrasound at 27weeks & got amazing photos of baby & video it was the perfect time. Then I did maturity photos at 32 weeks which I thought was perfect, they turned out amazing. Then baby shower was 36 weeks. I guess everything is personal preference but those weeks worked out perfectly for us. I would definitely recommend to anyone to do maturity pictures before there shower so that you can set the photos out at your shower!

My OBGYN already registers you in the beginning of the pregnancy at the hospital you want to go to. It just depends on OB.

Just a note that the FDA and organizations like ACOG do not recommend doing elective ultrasounds just for funsies because there is a risk of tissue overheating and overall it's best to expose your baby to that as minimally as possible.

I’m not a high risk pregnancy and I’ve already had 2 ultrasound and have another scheduled at my 20 week

I do not have a high risk pregnancy but at my Dr office they do an ultrasound every month for everybody when you go to the appointment.

@@SoulTribeMama I only get one done every trimester. But my last pregnancy i had one monthly because i was high risk from carrying twins.

My first was unexpected! Give yourself a little grace. You’re overwhelmed already. If you’ve already had your baby I hope it went well! If not, I hope you are able to give yourself a little peace of mind

You have to pay in the US to have an ultrasound 😬 that sucks

With insurance you get 2 throughout the pregnancy but if you want more after that then yes we have to pay. Unless your high risk then it’s up to the doctor and that goes on insurance as well.

Insurance covers part but not all, also if you haven’t reached the deductible with your insurance you will definitely have to pay for the first two ultrasounds. Luckily I reached the deductible for both so it was only 100 dollars for that one

I've never heard of having showers for any babies after the first one.

We call them sprinkles here in Texas. We only asked for diapers, wipes, and a few items that were maybe new or hand me down items.

I believe it also depends on a few factors for some parents, such as the sex of the baby and/or the amount of time between the children.

​@femalediablos I know this comment is old, but yes, this! I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 and felt a little weird having people ask me about a shower, BUT my daughter is almost 16! Not only did I get rid of all baby items, because I thought I was done having kids, but this baby is also a boy. I literally had NOTHING for a baby! Lol!

It’s extremely bad idea to give nurses “thank you” baskets. And it’s why. The more people will do it the more nurses will expect it (I’m not talking about them being evil, I’m talking about phycology aspect of it (Pavlov dog can approve it)). So, if majorette of people doing this more and more nurses will have expectations of getting it and might become upset if they don’t get one which can affect services. The very best thing you can do is be kind and thankful, just verbalize how much you appreciate they work and blah-blah anything else you feel you want to say. Ps. I have phycology degree 😊
