I am getting so excited lol. You seem to be doing much better (anxiety wise). I think all of this planning will definitely help ease your mind. 💙

I think your checklist is great!! I'm almost 36 weeks & it helped me remember some things I still need to do!! :)

I woke up at 4:00am this morning thinking about all of the things I need to do before baby comes. I'm 32 weeks due in December! My to-do list is nearly identical to yours.

It’s all about getting the kind of support that matters to you and plenty of it. I’ve seen you going through checklists for a while now and bet it just feels good to get things done and feel prepared. I was SO not prepared with my first baby, but that was 1,000 years ago before KZread videos gave lots and lots of advice. Sounds like you’re doing things exactly right!!

I can’t believe how soon little man is going to be here! I remember when you announced your pregnancy . I just want to say THANK YOU for shining light on the fear/anxiety of giving birth. I want kids but I am absolutely terrified. Your videos have really helped me not necessarily get over that fear but provided comfort knowing I’m not alone. You also shared tips and things you are doing to overcome that fear and I will take that advice when I am expecting. Thank you for being so real and honest! Cannot wait for him to arrive!!

I’ve been using huckleberry since I delivered my little one two weeks ago and I love it! Definitely recommend leaving as little as possible on your list for the last few weeks. I went in for my 37 week appointment and ended up having to go straight to labor and delivery due to high blood pressure and I delivered her within an hour. I still had a lot on my to do list because I thought I had two more weeks! Sending positive vibes your way for a happy and healthy labor and delivery!

Ahh good to know you like that app! And yes, I'm trying really hard to cross everything off the list asap because I really don't think this little one is going to stay put until my due date. Who knows, but I doubt he will!

You might look into padsicles too, especially with a summer baby - I found them very soothing! And I saw someone recommend depends instead of pads and I second this wholeheartedly! I used pads with my first and it was fine, but tossed my ego to the side after my second and used depends and wow was it so much easier (and actually more comfortable!!) and I just tossed the padsicles in them like they were normal undies.

My doula just recommended making some padsicles so I think I’m going to do that. I also already placed an order for depends. I’m all about whatever is most comfortable!!

Highly recommend depends vs large pads etc. eliminated extra bulk down there and all in one! I seriously wore them for weeks after and was a blessing on my way to the hospital since my water broke at home. Get you some nipple balm and take it to the hospital if you plan to breastfeed at all and if you take your pump, the lactation consultants can help you learn your pump...so wish I had done so! Also comfy clothes. The stars above pjs with either shorts or pants that button front were the best! So comfy, easy for skin to skin, feeding etc and don’t be afraid to pack a few extra. I’m an over packer and had an unplanned csection, ended up being there longer than expected but had just enough clothes in the end! Also don’t forget phone chargers and lip balm 👌🏼 You’ve got this! Sending all the good vibes for a quick and healthy delivery for you and baby boy!

So many people have recommended the target pjs! I bought a pair from Nordstrom with button front, but think I’m going to grab the target too so I have a couple pairs! Thanks for all the recs & well wishes 🤍

About packing a hospital bag ... you’re going to see a ton of people shaming first time moms for the amount they pack for the hospital. It’s true that you’ll find you didn’t need most of the stuff you bring in the end. But honestly you’re just carrying bags up to a single room and not backpacking through Europe, so if overpacking eases any of your nerves about labor and delivery then there’s really little harm in doing it. I agonized over the right amount to bring for my first and it wasn’t worth the energy.

Absolutely! I've seen a lot of videos saying that they didn't use a lot of what they brought. I'm planning on skipping the stuff that they will provide for me and just grabbing some of those items for after we're home, but I'll prob still overpack with just different things to wear since I'll have no idea what I'll want until I'm in the situation.

I would suggest the always bladder support type of pads…… similar to depends! They run big so keep that in mind! They will save you in the hospital and at home! Skip the pads from the hospital 😬

So many people have said to bring my own! I was thinking I’d just get them for once we’re home, but might need to just pack them too.

I always suggest a Mama Strut to new moms. I don't know what it's like to recover without it but from other stories I heard, I feel like it made my recovery super Easy.

It's getting close. You are do so well. Just pack what you feel you may, possibly or sorta need. Whatever makes you feel at ease. Beside Adam has to carry them. Or roll them. 😂 A pillow. Maybe take your own pillow.

What topics would a birth plan cover? I have heard this term a few times but still can not figure out what this entails.

Things like if you'd want any pain medication, if your partner wants to cut the umbilical cord, if you want them to give your bath their first bath or if you'd prefer to, if you're ok with the baby being taken out of your room or if you want them in there at all times, etc. Basically it goes over your preferences so that your choices are known and you aren't trying to make decisions in the moment.
