    @@boosthuntergarage I think I am going to go with DDP 120s. People keep telling me to go with BBIs but I’ve ran the DDPs for years with no issues so I see no reason to change. And a phone call with Lenny he explained a lot has changed since mine were made so the new ones will run much better.

    Thanks so much! How did this install affect your MPG and Power? You did a valve lash job at the end of this process too right?

    Definitely gained power but also did tuning at the same time. Don’t really remember what it was getting mileage wise before but just recently did a road trip with a 10,000lb trailer and was getting 10mpg in the mountains and around 12-14mpg on the flats. 19-20mpg no trailer on the highway. To be honest I didn’t do a valve lash but I really should have to double check everything

    Good video. However, you may want to reconsider how you use a torque wrenches. I saw torque applied after the click. Additionally, research calculating a moment. Looks like you had a torque wrench that was around 24in in length. For every pound of force your applying your getting 2 ft-lbs or torque.

    what tuning and turbo are you running with these injectors. Im thinking of changing my injectors due to 167000 miles and Im getting black smoke even on stock tune. Do these injectors smoke much? thanks

  • @boosthuntergarage

    @boosthuntergarage

    I’m running the stock turbo right now and I have tunes from Firepunk. Also have a 30% over cp3. It smokes a bit on the lowest tune mainly if you get on it hard, but that could be in the tuning also. I have another video with a review of the injectors and tuning and showing the smoke levels

    This is by far the best video there is on this install. I followed it to a T. I got it done and had trouble on #6 obviously. I learned you can get a flex head in there with a 1/2” ratchet. I fired it up and had loss of FRP quite drastically. I had to redo everything except injectors so I re pulled the feed tubes after calling places and reput them back in and re torqued them bsck down. I learned you can get a 15/16 wrench on #6 cross tube nut and torque it good. Now it runs like a beauty!!!! However I do have code p0193. Is this normal? I would assume since my injectors are now 30% over. Do you have this code or did anyone else pop it?

  • @boosthuntergarage

    @boosthuntergarage

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks for your comment! I didn’t get that code when I did mine but I also got the truck tuned when I did mine. My guess is cause they are bigger injectors that the truck needs to be tuned for the extra flow. Could possibly be something to do with the relief valve.

    @@boosthuntergarage I got the codes cleared by pulling out my cross over tubes and re inserting them and torquing down to 42lbs. However now I have a hard start long crank low fuel rail pressure when it’s warm. Fires up cold immediately and runs like a champ whenever it does start. However when it’s warm it won’t fire. When I pour water onto my cp3 though it’ll fire up after that.
