Thanks so much dude! KZread is so awesome! I've learned so much from it and love to help others out when I can. Love seeing all your comments on the videos brotha:)
Excellent installation video. You gave great detail for a novice or an experienced person that has never done the retro fit on a Gen 3, 4Runner.
Great video. Helpful info and great tutorial format. Good production too. This is KZread at it's best. No crazy effects and intro. Just quality tutorial. You remind me of Timmy's vids. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely the exact video I was looking for my man. I appreciate ya! Keep it up!

Great work. I am currently assembling retrofits as well. Can’t wait for the weather to get better so that I can actually install them in my 4Runner.

Awesome. Waiting on that fog light video.
Looks AWESOME, Keep Up The Great Work...Thinking of upgrading my 99 4Runner. Once again Thank You for I was just along for the ride but now a defimust do💯👍💪💪💪
Fantastic work dude! they look rad!
Excellent tutorial! I purchased this kit months ago, but haven't had time to do them. This'll motivate me to do it. Really creative using the soldering iron to make the channel and the hot glue gun to keep the rear ring in place. FYI on temps, BX recommends 235F for 20-30 mins.

Glad you picked up some new inspiration! They're seriously worth the time it takes to build them. Good tip about the oven heat, though I'm hoping I won't have to open mine up for a long time XD
Awesome Vid dude! Thanks!!
Did you hear BX Built went out of business?
That module dosent control the high and low beams it controls the Daytime Running Lights if you unplug the daytime running light module your headlights will not be on anytime to start the vehicle which is my recommendation to do when running hids and even Leds will make them last years longer @19:03
Good Tutorial
Great video, I learned a few things even though I sell retrofits for many Toyota vehicles. I just bake the whole housing or use a heat gun, never had a problem with anything melting. 235 for 15 mins and the lens falls right off.

That’s awesome to hear! They’re fun to build for sure😎👊
That is a great video. Do you know much about the longevity of this kind of upgrade? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Solid video! I’m currently retrofitting but can’t seem to tap the halos into the parking lights. I’ve tried splicing using quick connects but not working. Any suggestions?
Great video!

Have any issues with flickering halos? When turn I hit turn signal for one side the opposite side halo flickers. Any idea? Do I need a load resistor?
Demon eyes are not halos they actually are a chip that sits behind the Projector I have front and rear halos with demon eyes with panamera 2.0 shrouds on my 3rd gen but I also built my hid retro fits 8 plus years ago
Waiting on fog light video too
Hey man, I'm installing the same kit on my 3rd gen.. How did you connect all the wires for the halos? I just want mine to be white when I'm driving and then blink amber when I hit the turn signal. Do you connect both the front AND rear halos to the same locations? And where do I connect them? Sorry for all the questions, I'm very new to this..
Did you ever make a follow-up video on the headlights and fog lights switching?
Is it just the rotational adjustment that's required before gluing the glass back on? The rest of adjustment happens with the adjustment screws on the whole housing, right? It'd be ridiculous to not be able to adjust them at all after gluing the glass back on.
Very cool mod !

These are totally dope … I have a 2000 SR5 my question is can I upgrade to LED headlights without a DIY project and just buy and plug in?
Scotch Brite Pad
Does each halo driver ground separately or are the grounds splices and grounded once ?
Awesome work Kido! 🤙 Where can I get these? Seems like the old link isn’t working
Having the same issue with the rear halos, kinda annoying that they dont clip in somewhere
Good vid. You could have just replaced the hid bulbs for leds… but I do see you wanted halos.
Excellent installation video but de part list web doesn't work :(
Where'd you buy the new headlight housings at?
Where did you find that grill ? I want same type and mount some driving light behind it.
When you were adjusting the headlights were you adjusting the projectors or the headlights mounts?
Rip bxbuilt
Do you have a parts List?
Once you aim the headlights, what is to keep them from moving around again later?

No, I'm using the set screws to adjust them. The headlights are mounted and sturdy otherwise.

@@PartimeOverland the projectors come with their own set screws or from the top of the o/e headlight housing? My headlight adjusters are stripped, can't aim my headlights down
How would you campare this BX Built projector against let say Morimoto, I want to get a set of this ones but can't seem to find any videos out there comparing the two.
@PartimeOverland
2 жыл бұрын
The BX Built LED's (the ones in this video) are essentially the next gen of projector lights. In fact BX used to sell morimoto lights. They were decent but had some reliability issues and weren't as bright as they wanted, so they ended up developing their own model - the LED version. Makes the system much less complex, and also brighter. In short, go with the BX LED's

I got mine from eBay
Hid's in my opinion last longer and Are brighter then leds.. Leds GET super hot and heat is the enemy of Chips and Leds don't last as long AD hids I have had 1 set of hids for 10 years and they still are just as bright as the day I bought them and truck is driven more then 5k miles a month
Do you know the size of the halos?

Front or rear?
What kind color of paint is that?
@PartimeOverland

For painting the headlights? It’s actually a rust reforming primer😄 I think it’s a matte black ‘Rustolium Rust Reformer’
How much would you charge to make some for a 98 4runner ?
@PartimeOverland

Haha I knew someone would ask at some pointXD I could build some for you, but it wouldn't be cheap. I'd recommend checking out BXBuilt. He makes custom headlights and you could get them for much cheaper through him (as well as totally customized)

Anyone here use the OEM housings instead of buying new?
Nice, what was the total cost?

I payed about $400 in parts for the lights... as long as you use your old headlights that should be about it
