3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner LED Headlight Bulb Test and Install | Auxito B7 and Q16 LED H4 Bulbs

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I have been wanting to try out some H4 LED headlight bulbs on my 1999 Toyota 4runner for a long time now. Originally I wanted I had purchased the Auxito b7 LED bulbs but never got around to installing them. Eventually, Auxito reached out and sent me their newer upgraded Q16 LED bulbs to test out. I ran all 3 bulb sets through a series of tests, including, wattage, heat dissipation, beam pattern, and brightness. I share the few issues that arise when installing LED bulbs on the 3rd gen 4runner. later I will show how to eliminate these issues if I decide to keep the LED bulbs in. I also had to adjust my headlights when installing these. I hope this video was helpful and thanks for watching.
Warning: these LED headlight bulbs are not DOT-approved and are for off-road use only

What a surprisingly good video. Love how you tested them with the power supply and showed that. Slightly off topic I got a set of DS3 LED lights that I wanted to test that same way and for the life of me couldn't get them to power on, I bought a harness, plugged it in, cut the connector side of the wires had a black, red and yellow that I hooked up to the power supply in all configurations I could and never could get it to light up. But his H4 will be a simple one, thanks again

Hmm, first time I've heard of a headlight bulb needing a heat sink., but then I'm not in the business.....Thanks for the review

yeah pretty common with LED drivers, too much heat and it damaged them. no problem

I had Morimoto 2stroke LED bulbs and were 5 times better than halogen. No issue with the High beam indicator. However, just finished my Moritomoto MLED retrofit and those are 5 times better with Reflector LEDs. Great video none the less!!!!

thanks! interesting, maybe you didn't get good ones, I'm super impressed with seeing with these. we will see how they hold up though, may get dimmer after a while, time will tell. try a cyclops brand for the bikes, I was super impressed with the one I used in my tw long ago

I need to adjust my headlights. My 2000 yahama moped produced further light stock than my 4 runner. 😂 Edit: I like how the LED bulbs aim LOOKS to be slightly lower. My Xterra LEDs never gets high beamed. My wife’s old stock Kia was beamed constantly and they were incandescents.

nice! good luck finding one people want an insane amount for them. guy at my work paid $12,000 for an 07 v8 4runner, had almost 300,000 miles on it lol. then he thought it would be a good idea to put a lift and 35in tires on it and then it started having transmission problems

good one there mate, would you be doing a follow up video on the durability of the Q16s? these LEDs are infamous for having much shorter life span than incandescent bulbs

Greetings, how were you able to turn on the fog lights because I have the problem that if I put LED lights on it, it doesn't turn on the fog lights, but if I put factory lights on it, it does turn on the fog lights.

I need to wire in a regular T10 bulb in parallel with the high and ground circuit, and another in the low and ground, to make the fog lights and the high beam indicator work with LEDs
