This takes me back to the 7th or 8th grade in Toronto. Those were the days when you waited all week to watch and record (on VCR) *Rap City* on MuchMusic. 3rd bass was one of my fav groups. You dont get that playfulness anymore that we use to from the likes of 3rd Bass, Slick Rick, Kid N Play etc. So nostalgic.

3RD BASS were dope ,i have to laugh when people say to me "you don't like eminem because he is white" no ! I don't like eminem because he just aint dope he can flow but he flows over wack beats and has forgot about the elements,we loved 3rd bass back in the day because as you see in the clip they kept the shit hip hop to the core, dope lyrics over dope beats a dj cutting it up, dancing, just bboy shit. The same reason why i have time for and listen to mc's like Edan, abdominal,RA the rugged man and ill bill colour don't mean shit to me just don't come with wack shit and call it hiphop black or white.

Couldn't have put it better yo. Don't give a damn if a cat's white, at long as their rhymes tight and they respect and represent the Culture, that's all that matters.

3rd bass came out and lived through the culture before they became mainstream. They was talking about the fucked up nation and how they treated the Blackman because they thought it was wrong. Respect.
