Can't find a video on How to setup the 1sr axis in a Spot Hogg fast Eddie xl single pin😔

Learned all of this from Tim Gillingham years ago. Will be looking forward to the actual shooting part of the video. That's when the viewers will really understand 3rd axis. Thanks for the videos gentleman great content as usual.

I just started shooting a bow July 2019 (1 year ago) and I've done two 3D archery shoots here in California and I've never had problems with either steep uphill and downhill shots. I am fortunate to have an excellent bow technician that perfectly set up both my Mathews Vertix and VXR 31.5. The 3rd Axis on both my rigs are good to go! Good video and great reminder to make sure that your bow's 3rd Axis is set up properly! Keep up the good work and hopefully I get to meet you guys in the future!

It is only necessary if you rely on your sight bubble. Personally I get fixated on the level and it gives me target panic so I don’t worry about my third axis. Especially on longer shots. I use the bubble in practice on flat ground to rely on muscle memory for up and down angles.

Plenty of my pals are killers and pay no attention to their level when they shoot. As long as you have good form and you're allowing your bow to sit normal in your hand and you're not looking for a visual reminder you don't need this set up.

3rd axis is absolutely real, but there is A LOT more involved than just the sight. Most guys don’t have to take shots steep enough to really see the difference, let alone have the consistency to know that they’re shooting well but hitting to the side. The other major issue is front shoulder position. I see this a lot shooting downhill. You lose leverage and your form collapses, front shoulder gets out of position and your entire shot process is out of alignment. Even they way you bend at the hips to shoot is critical, break your knee(slight bend) then bend at the hips.

I just purchased the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL 3 pin for my V3X 29. How do I sight the bow using the calibration tape? Do I set the 3 pins first and then place the sight tape at 40 or on the twenty. The instructions suck. Any help us greatly appreciated.

Once you adjust the 3rd axis will it still shoot dead on straight ahead and uphill and down hill?

Do you sight in your bow then get ur 2nd and 3rd axis straight?

Question! My sight only has a second axis but since I added a sidebar my bubble is always in the middle when I’m aiming down. When I aim level with the ground it’s not. Can you help?

@@ElkShape btw the best way I have always found to explain 3rd axis is to describe it to think of your pins and housing as a door... It needs to be flush... You are adjusting the opening and closing of that swinging door
