    Dude awesome video, I weld the same way for some reason and this video helped me not to get undercut on a test by holding the walls longer and not getting undercut. Love the diversity of techniques, instructors, positions, materials, etc. This channel is making people money! Keep up the great content!

    Thank You for your service and great information on the video. I like that you all have instructors that do things a little different so the students can learn each way and develop their own technique. At the end of the day it is about a quality weld that also looks great to the eye.

    Doing my bend test tonight on stick....3g&4g ⅜"plate. Really wishing I would of seen this before today. I am defenietly going to try this method next chance I get. Also a question...... Have you ever tried the 6010 root demonstrated in this video on pipe?

    The thought never occurred to me using 6010 rods and go side to side instead of whip-pausing upwards. I'll give this a try

    What's up I'm from South Africa and with the open root stick welding test we do 2g and 3G on one test piece. We call it a T piece could you guys do a video welding T piece. You would need to bevel 3G plates on the top as well as 2g plate would be placed on top with a bevel, and 3 stringer cap

    That's the method I use with 7018 hotpasse. But I usually whip with 6010.
