3DVista For Drone Deliverables? An overview of 3DVista

Ғылым және технология

For Black Friday of 2023 we purchased 3DVista. The sale was only 10% off, but we've been wanting to purchase the software for months. 3DVista is a 360 Pano Tour builder, and more. You can include video, audio, still images, 3D models, and more. Creating highly custom drone deliverables with 3DVista is more than possible. You could build an entire presentation around 3DVista that shares 360 tours, interactive 3D models, guided presentation, and desktop presentations.
Over the next few months we'll be putting a series together on 3DVista, and your comments and requests will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rich Loved it. I use 3DVista for my 360s and I love it. This is definitely the way to go. I can't wait for your course in this new process for deliverables. I am really excited and pumped for this new adventure. So many options in one program. I started in Kuula and moved to 3DVista. Lets go, this is going to be awesome! George

Sorry for my delay in reply. I've been down with a medical issue these past few weeks. We'll start doing more on 3D Vista once I'm healed up.

Excellent overview and really robust software. This should take your business offerings to the next level and beyond. I like that it works locally instead of on some server somewhere.

I like the assortment of exports. Cloud sharing, custom app for Windows or Mac, sharing from your own website. It’s nice to have options. And I like it is a desktop solution too.

Ooooooh, oh so very cool. Just added panoramic aerial tours to the pipeline back in September and this tool looks like a LOT of fun (and time to learn - we love rabbit holes). Thank you for the run down of this fabulous software.

Very cool! While doing the trial of 3DVista we also added a 3D model to the presentation. We'll be making a new model as we learn more, and I'll share how to get the models into the presentations. So stay tuned!

Rich - interesting video - I am also using 3D Vista in a very similar way. The one thing I have found with the the 360 Pano's is that it is quite time consuming in the field as I am finding the client wants quite a few to cover a construction site. I am capturing the data manually. 3D vista seems to take quite a while to master and I am very much still learning. I found myself in the same position as you with regard to upgrading my drones. After a lot of thought I went for a Mavic 3 Pro and the Mavic 3 Multispectral RTK. I decided that the M3E would only be good for "surveying" whereas the M3M does the surveying plus agricultural work via the multi spectral sensor.

This 3d vista looks superb, but as a drone guy, I would like to know how you produced the panos , is there a pre video before this? I have an old mavic 2 pro and mini 3 pro! Probably a tutorial I am missing! I have paid for previous tutorials and they were superb, maybe point me in the right direction.

In my case, I've produced panos with my Mavic 2 Pro with both Litchi and DJI Go 4. Each app offers an automated mode for capturing the images that go into the final pano. If you want, the app can assemble the final pano for you. Or you can take all of the individual image and merge them. 3DVista includes their stitcher for creating a final pano. Recently I've been using the Mavic 3 E's pano mode. It assembles the final pano, but also gives you access to all the files that went into the pano if you want to stitch yourself. Take a look at my intro pano class on our course site. It's a free tutorial. While a little dated, what it covers is what you can still do today. classes.azdrone.net/p/360-degree-panoramic-photos-with-drones-create-unique-aerial-virtual-tours If you have additional questions let me know. Oh, and I'd suggest doing a few panos with your Mavic 2 Pro. When you've shot a few, then sign up for the free trial with 3DVista. You'll have some panos ready to go in order to maximize the value of the trial period.😀

Fantastic advice Richard. The golf course i member are re designing the bunkers so maybe I could do a before and after and use 3dvista to get my feet wet! I have used litchi for weigh points with my mavic 2 pro. I been trying Luminar Neo so probably stitch in there for panos. Paid for a few of your courses and loved them. cheers @@AZ-Drone

    No more Kuula?

Oh no, we're still using Kuula as well. This venture off into 3DVista is something we've been wanting to try out for higher end presentations. We're still using Kuula for sure. But when we want to make a presentation with 3D elements, 360s, video, audio, and many other features, we'll be using 3DVista. We might even do a little comparison between Kuula and 3DVista here.
