@spellbinder00 - That's because you are not supposed to cross your eyes on the other ones. Crossing your eyes reverses the depth.

I have to say this is the first one I have seen in outward 3D and not inward as with the static ones, which I see impresions only, like seeing an indent of the image, like looking into a mold for a mask. Thanks for showing the image in a real outward 3D towards me.

Hey I know it's been 12 years but the reason the ones in the book appear inwards to you is because they require a different technique- you're not supposed to cross your eyes, instead "look through" the page thereby uncrossing them more than if you were focusing on the actual page. If done correctly, they apear to come out and be formed normally.

@@Mikelaxo I think that they're all supposed to appear "outwards". There are two ways to make a stereogram- each with a matching technique. If a stereogram is made for the "crossed eyes" technique, using the "look through the page" (i.e., uncrossed eyes) technique will make it look indented. If a stereogram is made to be "looked through", and you cross your eyes, the image will also look indented. Typically the animated stereograms you see online require crossing your eyes, and I think this is because it can work with any display size. The other uncrossed eyes type only works if the pattern is spaced slightly less than the distance between two eyes, because it's not typically possible to uncross your eyes past being parallel to each other. However, if you know the technique they can look more convincing and don't cause strain to look at. Printed stereograms such as Magic Eye books use these.

another way to do this is to focus past the image instead of between the image and yourself. I find looking past it easier for me.

glasses don't matter, i have glasses too, what you need to do is watch at it cross eyed and try to uncross or cross more till you see a 3d thing, suddenly you'll be able to see it.

you would still be able to see it, just blurry. but i must say this one is pretty hard because the heads are transparent
