@@whbanks I would give it an 8/10 for performance. For beeing an relatively heavy AWD car with an relatively old 6-Speed Automatic it performs very well.👍

Its hard to compare with other cars/ sounds. But for a wagon I do like it because it looks like a sleeper. In its own category I would rate the sound with a good 8/10 and the performance with 6/10

the best thing i like about volvo is the cluster/speedometer counting every km/h and doesnt skip 3-4-5 km/h when accelerating

it´s quite funny seeing him cruising trough Uedem or Sonsbeck. In the beginning of the Video when he turns left he is at Louven Anhänger in Uedem. Nice roads down there.

S80 V8 was the last real one, for me ✌️

I never knew Volvo’s could sound like that. I knew about the Polestar and knew that they had V8s and 5 cylinders in the past if i remember correctly. But this came as a surprise. Normal people would probably look for a sportscar if they heard this 🤣 PS: i know what engine it has you guys don’t have to tell me.

I've got a V40 T5 with the 5 cylinder with a sports exhaust and optimised towards 300 hp and this thing is even louder :

Love my 2016. Best car I've owned and reliablity has been amazing. Handles well and is pretty fast too. Super rare too

Never thout I would fall in Love with a Volvo

As someone who owns a turbo 5-cyl Volvo, I feel a little validated seeing that even the Polestars are not the fastest from a dig. Where these cars really shine is pickup at freeway speeds. The 60-100 mph is unbelievable, and they’re very stable at high speeds. With city driving, you really need to hit it at just the right rpm, right as the turbo kicks on, and then this thing will scoot.

its accualy an 6-cyl engine! very unusual from volvos productions but the polestar are one of the few that got the 6 pistons!

@@skiller1958 they're not saying it's a 5 cyl. They're just saying they OWN a 5cyl and it behaves the same as this 6 cyl. 👍

The first to second gear shift is unbelievably clumsy with the 6-speed auto. I have a V60 D5 AWD with a tune and it accelerates really nicely from third gear up but the first shift is horrible

@@Tumppiasd volvo have torque limiter programmed in the ecu/tcu for 1st and 2nd gear... Hence they doesnt perform great from.stand still acceleration

@@AmirPomen yea I know that. I don't mean power wise slow but the shift is incredibly slow and even on diesel it sits on the rev limiter for a while

I still drive old s60 5c turbo. I sat in a new s60 and discovered that the old one have much more comfortable seats. The building quality of volvos back in 2001-2008 was better than any new car I saw these years.

Volvo V60 Polestar

One of the best cars volvo ever made . A bit rare and also very expensive for a second hand (car + shipping+import taxes). Its my dream car and i hope one day ill be able to have it . I know 3.0 is a beter engine but i prefer the 2.0 because it comes with a beter transmission and its more efficinet .

I dont understand your question ... Also 2.0 its a performance car , has more hp than the 3.0 ( factory hp) , beter transmission and beter handling .

The 4 cylinder Polestars are the most problematic. I am a member of Facebook Polestar forum and the 4 cylinders are the ones with most issues. The inline 6 is much smoother, refined, and bulletproof. Believer me the 8 speed auto isnt that huge of a improvement. Most 4 cylinder owners wish they had the 6 after they drive one

@@v60polestar88 Forums are made for people who have issues with their cars .. If I search a Toyota forum I'm sure I'm gonna find that Toyotas facing many problems despite their reputation on the market. I agree with you that the 4 cylinder is more problematic but most of the problems are not engine related . I didn't make a very good research on forums but situation is not so bad . These cars are reliable, generally speaking.. The gearbox may not be far better, but it's noticeably better.. Also this depends on personal standards . I'm still going for the 4 cylinder.. because is a better car in many ways .. of course i love the 6 cylinder and its amazing sound , but it's super rear to find as a second hand and a left-hand drive .. In order to have my dream car and be able to run it and pay his bills (gas , road taxes ) some compromises have to be done 😅

in the USA it is mostly volvo with inline 6. Or 2.5 5 cylinder Europa is mostly diesel. and if gasoline is too expensive they are! I have a diesel 5 cylinder but nothing like the i6.

The I6T was so much more enjoyable and a perfect fit for the V60PS. I will say I'm surprised that a factory Turbo car picks up a mere 30chp and 65nm. Is the Turbo sized very small on these engines? I felt the car had good midrange and torque but not to the point where it felt to fall off majorly on the top end. I love that this car exists. Great video.

The turbo is indeed known to be pretty small, so the tuning potential is lower than other turbo 6-cyl engines. Still a nice car though.

@@dblezi For crash safety. The transverse engine rolls under the cabin, whereas longitudinal engines naturally want to go into the cabin.

I guess it uses Haldex like all the other AWD Volvo models. I was surprised how the tail is stable that way round the corners, well now it makes sense :)

Why when you pulled at the 2:32 mark it held gear longer and was hitting the rev limiter not shifting? Did the transmission slip, or did it just hang up because the wheels were spinning?
