3807, with a built up No.19 Southern Highlands Express, passes Garratt, 6025, on a Glenlee coal train at Casula, in Sydney's Southern suburbs. Filmed on 16mm sound film by the late Bernie Kent, with Roger MacKenzie.

I am not a steam fan, but how can two people have disliked this outstanding piece of footage? I can't get enough of this stuff. Thank goodness it has survived for us to enjoy in 2020,

Thanks, Semi Retired Foamer, I guess that is why they give you the option. Each to their own although I don't know why you'd bother.
I have a photo of my great grandfather Arthur Springthorpe sitting in the cabin of the 3807, on his day of retirement on 1 January 1950. Thanks for posting, great to see it running.
47 seconds of pure pleasure; a toast in memory of Bernie.

Stephen and Semi retired foamer. I have since been advised that this is the Southern Highlands Express, No 19, which was built up with these cars, until mid 1968, Fridays. Caption amended.
