It is seen first departing Freshfield with the outbound leg after being held for the preceding train to clear the section ahead.
It is then seen arriving and then making a spirited departure from Formby on its way back.
Class 37s are rare on the Merseyrail network, making only sporadic appearances on the monthly test train which is usually Class 73 hauled. To see one in the daylight is even more unusual.
