They are quite heavy and beefy. They look intimidating but if the bitting is flat and the core is cheap, the security suffers. Thanks for watching 👍🦊

Very nice looking Master Lock Jack. Opened pretty quick too after the reset. Looks like it's quite a weight (as you said) looking at the chunkiness. Then again Master Lock usually do make them strong. My question is why didn't they make this a6 pin Lock? Sigh!

Just started picking recently, and my wife bought me one of these along with other locks for my bday on the 8th of March. And I am so lost on single pin picking , I understand the concepts of spool, serrated, and plain pins. But can’t seem to not overset everything I pick. I have a covert instruments genesis kit. And a southern specialties force set. Maybe my picks are too thick?

You got the right tools but maybe the wrong locks. A five pin lock is too advanced for a beginner picker. You need to start with 4 pin locks such as the Master No. 3, Brinks, Harbor Freight and some generic Chinese 4 pin locks. I also suggest watching training videos by LadyLocks, Bosnian Bill and others. You may be trying to advance too fast and get discouraged. There are many lock manufacturers that have this large, round body shape such as the American 700. That are available with different shackle sizes. They are used mainly on gates, garages, industrial refrigerators and shipping containers for rugged use. They are very intimidating and very secure. The shape, in my opinion is not for any utilitarian purpose that I am aware. Perhaps someone in the Locksport community may have a better idea. Thanks for watching 👍🦊
