338 Edge Long Range Hunting 2012
Join Me my son and some friends as we take my 338 Edge out to the field for some Long Range Hunting action. The gun we will be using is a Remington 700 338 Edge with a Nightforce 5.5x22x56mm scope and a G7 ballistics rangefinder. Gun was built by Defensive Edge. To all the PETA lovers and animal rights activist "ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS FILM" if you don't like it "DON'T WATCH IT"

Nice shooting! Alot of people dont understand the long range hunting! These are guys who spend countless hours a year practicing shooting at long range and can probably put 5 shots on a 5-6" plate at 1000yards! I'd rather support these guys then a average Joe who waits till a week before season to pull out ole trusty to head out and resight pr see where there gun is shooting g and call that good to go then start sending prayers at 300yards!
Nice Video Aaron turned me on to it. We should get out and shoot one of these days. I shared on FB hope you don't mind. That first video vapor trail is awesome. The boys bullet impact on the bear is sweet
Good shooting fellas but yeah it's a long way away I guess that's why you're bringing young fellows to carry it out LOL😊😊
You have any 2014, 2016 videos. nice shooting
What make and model is the camera that recorded the pressure trail of the bullet? What video settings did you use? Very cool videos. Happy Trails and Hunting. Thanks.

+LASTLAF Mountain Biking Channel I would like to know the same thing. Would be great to share this info with us, the rest of the hunting community. Thank you in advance.
If you use a vectronix plrf 15c rangfinder with a Trimble Nomad it will actually give you the gps co-ordinates.So you can walk right to it without any spotter.
nice shooting!
Amazing videos.... Congratulation and thanks a lot from Spain for sharing your experiences and data with us. Best, Francisco
That bench packs up pretty well in a back-pack, eh?

Hey what is your load? I just got my rifle back from Hart Barrels. I need to buy bullets, and dies. Have plenty of H1000 and Retumbo, Fed 215Match primers and 300 RUM brass.
What bullet are you using here?
sorry typo 2738 yards
How do you get the meat from there?
WAS HERE
nope don't mind share away ill get you and Aaron a copy of the DVD it has some ELR practice out to 2838 yards it is a longer version
Ah, I was wondering how you found the downed animal after such a long walk. Good stuff.
DEERSNIPER!!
90 gr. H1000 300 gr. Bergers .005 off the lands down a 30" Hart barrel shoots 1/4 min. Groups
why is it that americans really often totally confuse bullet, cartridge and case?
how is it that your 338 edge has more bullet drop at 1113 yards than my 300 win mag with a 208 gr bullet? I mean great shots.... but the round is WAY over hyped. You will have more energy probably but the animal isn't going to know much of a difference at that range.

Your 300 win mag is shooting almost 100 grains lighter... hes running a 300 grain berger. You're running 208 grains. Huge....huge difference!
Amazing shot, and shot placement! I'd love to get the specs on that 338! I'd love to hunt some deer or elk in Idaho! PM me if you're up to it! Congrats!

As in we go together!
@timothy1045 ya not easy but lot of fun. three hour pack out
We leave a spotter at shooting location with a radio and walk the rest of us into the animal and bone it out and pack it out on our backs
I figured 6mph from 9 oclock little much 2 min would of Xringed him but it all worked out anyway
Bringing a bench while hunting isn't exactly hunting.
I'm not at all impressed. The risk of injury shootings are very high. Totally disrespectful to the animals that we hunters respects.

I kind of agree. Beside as another gentleman wrote, it ain't hunting, but of course just an opinion.
