My friend used to have one with around 250bhp about 10 years ago. Always put a big smile on my face soon as it hits boost

Remember back in 2005 my pal had one 270bhp and for the power figure and the weight of the car it absolutely shifted 👍awsome car
I had an EP82. Same engine 4E-FTE on HKS 2835 turbo. running 280hp. watched this video and kind of miss my EP82
That’s insane. Currently one for sale in Australia on car sales.
Fun fact, the Yaris was the replacement for the Starlet in Japan. So it is the original GR Yaris as to speak.
Our friends used a stock 5E engine, bolted a WRX stock turbo on it, added a Haltech E6K, and Walbro 256L fuel pump and made the same power. The 5E engines are strong, and the automatic tranny handled it quite well too.

Open up that engine after the td04 see how your pistons looks 🤒 an u can get rods now without having to grind the block for clearance.
why clickbait about GR Yaris? this has nothing about rally/track etc. No one doubts about the built, 4efte is a great base to tune, but lets be honest. the starlet is a budget drag/street racing car. it has nothing to do about cornering... btw, well done for the built, its beautiful and i hope reliable! my 2 cents. 🙂

I've got a GR Yaris and only bought it because I saw it as the modern day equivalent of my Starlet Turbo (which I still have)

Sick build. These have always reminded me off a more reliable r5 gt turbo. Nearly bought a glanza over 20 years mad, this is defo a 1 to buy be nice to see what the asking price is?
Love any kind of sleeper. The glanza is such a cool car anyway but this is insane. Someone’s going to get a wicked build.
