33 yrs ago Ronald Gene Simmons Killed 14 members of his Family

In 1987, Ronald Gene Simmons killed his 7 kids and his other family members with a total of 16 people he killed. This happened in rural Arkansas from Dec. 22-28th 1987.

    I lived in Russellville at the time. I remember being at work that day, watching all the police cars flying by, wondering wtf was going on. That guy was truly a monster.

    @@InfamousCrimeLocations Yeah , it was pretty crazy. Had a long driveway with stacked rocks , i remember the Christmas tree , blood in the living room carpet and in the corner of a bedroom closet . For some reason there was a small grouping of bullett holes in the celing of the living room that i recall my Dad pointing out. The whole house was still full of stuff , and everything was kinda scattered around like maybe other people had already been there poking around. The holes were dug cady corner off towards the back of house . It was pretty horrible, even as a kid i understood that. The things humans are capable of is nothing shy of evil.     One odd fact was at the mini-mart he started shooting people and a customer began throwing canned goods from the shelves at him and he ran away.

    I’ve actually met this guy, he worked at the Sinclair gas station, I would go in their a few days a week, I was 19 I felt like he didn’t take no crap from anyone and I was intimidated by him! But I was a kid then, He killed the Kendrick lady because the attorney he really wanted to kill wasn’t their at the time so he killed her the secretary! These people he went to shoot were not random people, he knew who he was going after!

    I had just moved to Arkansas, a little bit before this tragedy happened. I'm still stuck in Arkansas! Those murders happened about 60 miles away from me. So sad. 😪

    I read the book. The adult children didn’t come around anymore and moved far from him but finally their mother decided she was ready to leave that monster and all her kids were afraid if she was left alone she would change her mind so they decided to go for Christmas as a United front to give the mother support, the monster knew they were coming and knew this was his only chance to kill all of them, personally the adult kids should not have brought their children at least they would be alive.

    This was one of those stories you truly remember seeing on the news when you were a kid. I was in the 1st grade and I remember hearing my mom and dad discussing it. This was something that rocked our whole state.

    When I saw a video about this case just, maybe a year ago, I had to look it up to see if it was even real. As weird as that may sound, it was almost too hard for me to believe. I've heard many family murder cases, but none to this magnitude.

    I know it totally sounds like a fiction movie or something!! I don't blame you Erin. I was utterly shocked too. I really felt bad for sheila who kept getting ra*ed by her dad. She had the 1 daughter because of him but I found out she almost had a 2nd kid with him but he forced her to get an abortion. Poor sheila.. 😢

    What made it even worse was the fact it was stretched out over several days, instead of the usual sudden mental collapse into a frenzy of violence. This was planned and methodical.

    I'm from Eastern Arkansas. When we saw this report on the news, we thought the world was about to end. This was about the sickest tragedy at this time. Very little rivals it even today. Remember it well 🙁

    @@stormyross1721 kinda old comment, but I suggest "an hour to kill". It's about the crystal Faye Todd murder in Conway SC. When I lived there, I had no idea about the murder. I happened to stop at crystal's house to inquire about a black Toyota celica. Her mother Bonnie, politely explained what happened to Crystal, and wouldn't part with the car. I felt so bad, but she was polite.

    Great job on the video! I always wondered what happened with this case. I was 10 at the time, and lived two hours north of where it occurred. So horrible and sad.
