Why go through all the trouble of making skinny ice cubes when all you have to do for ice water is to put a third bottle of water in the freezer resting at a good slant so that the water is going almost all the way up the bottom side to just under the spout. Then later fill it back up with water and off you go. Takes awhile for the side-ice to melt too.

best trick for hot day trips. freeze the bottle completely and hang it around your neck. It will unfreeze little by little and give you plenty of cold water all day long.

Totally excellent creative ideas to make cooking faster and for making cool things! Can’t wait to try them out. The only thing I wish is that they were available in PDF or ebook form for easier reference in the kitchen. Would pay money for that!

Did you know you can grow a new pineapple plant from the pineapple top . can regrow onion from half used onion, can regrow long leafy lettus from half used leftovers. Try it

I do this all the time. It does work. Did you know that if your garlic cloves starts to grow the garlic can become bitter. Plant them with the green part upright and you can get "garlic chives" that can be snipped off and eaten. I love that over omelettes, nachos or cheesy bread.

Why not just use an apple corer instead of that plastic syringe does the same thing and you don't need to ruin the plastic syringe. Especially if you were going to use it for your lunch it would be easier to invest in one or just eat the apple intact.

Many of these are not so much tricks as finding the quirky tools.
Interesting, but I'm sure I will never do any of these.
Good ideas. Cooking bacon: use an oblong cooling rack ( like for cookies) that fits on a baking sheet. Put bacon in cold oven, set at 425 for 18-25 minutes depending on thickness of bacon. 😉👍🏼

It's easier to have a bottle when going outside for a walk than holding a glass of water while walking, hence the bottle.

@@gregorygains5482 Partially freezing the whole bottle, works just as well, or use a reusable small cell, ice cube tray, to make mini ice cubes, and save a lot of ziploc baggies.
