That's why they don't the front metal stopper resists most of the force and the wheel rolling under, takes the force when in a similar rpm to that of the wheel. So the chain pins do a less amount of work.

Strangely this is the exact power figure my car supposedly had from the factory. But 2 wheels moving 1500kg struggle for traction sometimes, I just can't believe this 250kg bike could ever get all of that power down. Although I guess it only needs half that power to beat anything less than a hypercar.

Rode my friends H2 yesterday and did the nasty deed of pushing it in the 1st gear and that was the first time ever I popped a full fledged wheelie unintentionally.Too much oomph!

Ok people! Pay attention! Do you know how a rev limiter works? It cuts spark at a specified rpm. Everything else in the engine is still working, valves are opening and closing, pistons are moving up and down, air is flowing through the motor, and more importantly in terms of the comments on this thread FUEL is still flowing. What happens when unburned fuel/air charges get pumped into a very hot exhaust system? It burns. With sophisticated, electronically controlled, direct injection fuel systems the charge is very small and very atomized. So what you are seeing is unburnt fuel igniting. It's not noticeable on a street bike typically between the lower exhaust system temperatures and large muffler systems with baffles in them. The sparks are not pieces of the engine internals for f#@k's sake!

In addition, when using a quick shifter it's possible to see the same effect as well; when you engage the quick shifter it momentarily cuts the spark to allow a rapid engagement of the gears without the clutch being utilized.

The flames are unburnt fuel as you say, the sparks are NOT fuel. It has to be some baffling material in the exhaust system.

There is no carbon in this engine. It's probably had three tanks of fuel run through it. The combustion chambers are pristine. Yes, the old two stroke dirt bikes used to get all carboned up, but that has nothing to do with this. Additionally I have to say this thing sounds glorious.....absolutely glorious!!

gary diane I it has no baffles. It's a streight through exhaust

Are the sparks coming out the exhaust at high revs metal shavings ? Engine breaking in?
