HOW TO Watercolour Paint your Laser Engraving ! OLM3, OLM2 Pro. 😃
You , my Subscribers have asked for this , and here it finally is !!
A complete tutorial from start to finish on how I paint the Watercolour Effect on my Laser Engravings. :) For a clear video to see the greatest detail, make sure to click on the HD version in settings. :)
Oops! I did forget to add the photo of the type of clear I am using! It's Varathane, Diamond Wood Finish , Water based, and Outdoor Clear. :)
Pro Tip: Paint Left to Right and Top to Bottom to keep your hand from smearing any fresh paint ! Also , move your can of clear coat around so you don't accidently drip where you have already painted ! :)
I found the Waterbased Varathane does not reactivate the acrylic paint like PolyAcrylic does. If you are going to try something else...I suggest testing it on something other than your masterpiece in progress!
I hope you’s like the new Intro & Outro. I’m starting to dabble with animation! So I hope to improve as I go along . I will still keep the format of no music or me babbling in front of the camera. 😂 I don’t want to take you’s away from creating! 🤗🤗

You can also use the mask on your wood BEFORE you engrave and that will keep the scorching off of the wood. You can do your spray seal before removing the mask. Taking off the mask on this engraving would be time-consuming but worth the effort. Beautiful work.

Hi! Thanks for sharing. :) I have used paper transfer tape in the past before though. I found I had to go ALOT slower to make it through the mask and to get it as deep as I wanted in to the wood. There was a considerable amount of smoke, so I'm thankful for my DIY enclosure and exhaust fan. :)
That's very cool, but I wouldn't have the patience.

That is what I’m using is inexpensive acrylic water based craft paint just from the dollar store. I have found it has a pretty good UV ( sunshine) resistance as well with a good clear coat ) I have stuff from 10 years ago sitting on my porch with no fading or sun bleaching in the colours. You can also get outdoor acrylic water based paints like the Ohuhu brand. They have some beautiful pigment rich colours and can be watered down as well. 😊

I looked up live edge on Facebook marketplace and completely lucked out on some very affordable pieces! If you’re are from Ontario Canada, check out Cambridge wood supply. Amazing store and affordable prices as well. 😊
Never tried painting one of my engravings. Where'd you find the artwork? My niece loves Alice.

I drew this on my I pad with Adobe Fresco and my apple pen. I'll then save the screenshot, import it into my signmaster program to trace into vector and voila. Gone are the days that I hand draw with pen and ink , then scan it and clean up all the inconsistent outlines or bleed marks! I really like to create my own pieces. :)

you can always try a google search of Alice in wonderland colouring pages, vector art, or black and white clipart in order to create something amazing for your niece ;)

More, more, more!😁 I bet if you edit more of you long form vids into shorts your channel will gain a lot more traction. You have so much wisdom for sign making/and engraving, which tells me you've been in the business a long time. It be awesome learn more of the business side. How many hours it took from beginning to end? Ballpark figure for selling something like this? Commissions? Share past work. Portfolio's of work.
