This customer decided they wanted the most basic pressure washing of their driveway I could offer. I normally wont negotiate heavy but she was adamant about getting a deal, so we made one happen.
This goes to show that sometimes you have to figure out a way to get over the line, speak with them, try your angles and get better at selling. Keep moving and shaking. -AP

Thats definitely a 'just burning time' price. This taught me to bend with nice clients if I have nothing on schedule. For pre and post treat, my lawn cutting, and plant food premium price this was about $1,000 in my estimate for 2700sq ft. For water only $.11/sq ft is the low end we get for commercial round here in Reno, NV. Great to see you out there rock starring it and keeping it real with folks. Ill add in a water only concrete price at $.15/ sq ft for clients if they really want a cleaning and I have nothing to do. Thanks man!!!

Can you help point me in a direction? What do you use on a driveway that is heavily soiled with motor oil that has sat for what appears to be a very long time? I’m looking at doing a house, patio, and driveway for a client, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to fully remove the stains on the concrete driveway. Have you run into this problem? Is there a go to chemical composition you use for oil stains? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I guess I would either stay my course on price or keep the pre and post chemicals with the deal I made. Reason is because if you start shorting customers, as humans we develope a pattern and then you'll start shorting them all. It's too easy tto think I will get in and out quicker if I short the customer! Also, once you start shorting the customers and others see dirty spots that weren't hit with sodium hypochlorite, your name will also be tarnished and presumably can lose jobs.... Just my opinion. Thx for sharing your videos

  • @tristantaylor3666

I'll answer for you. Call powerwashstore.com for less than 2k you can get a 5.7 gpm pressure washer with an xjet and that can take care of everything. Not best rig but will get job done. Not normal bleach. look up SH. sodium hypochlorite...(sp?) anyways should be more than 10%. Can get pool cleaner/poolshock at lowe's or Home Depot (I prefer them) for 9 bucks you get a box with 3 jugs of pool shock which is basically strong SH (bleach) and that is then your standard chemical for powerwashing. Just soak and post-soak (after chem) the entire area so it doesn't get bleached white or kills plants. but it will kill everything else and make everything nice and clean. n terms of place to go..this guy has a course...and if you watch enough vids you'll get good. Watch Dan's Vlog as well. Killer guy and simple setups gets the job done and shows you everything! Good luck

btw you NEVER put any chemicals or soaps through your pressure washer. It is always between the output of the washer and the hose you shoot it from. It involves what's called a chemical injector ( a professional one not one you think you can make...they are 25-35 bucks) all it does is suck the bleach into the hose that you're spraying with. you can turn it on and off to rinse and clean. remember this is always on the OUT put of the washer...it never goes into the pressure washer like the garden hose water does...that's the input....this keeps your pump safe and does the job right!

You never put bleach into the garden hose water input of the pump...or a soap tank of a pump...it is attached with a professional chemical injector (25-35 bucks) that connects onto the OUT put of the pump in between the pump and the hose with spray wand...so that the hose gets filled with the chemical. No bleach should ever go into your washer...and after using you should always flush with water as this is STRONG bleach not normal kind. Look for pool shock SH at home depot. Watch Dan's Vlog. Hi Aaron, first of all thank you for sharing your knowledge, I am a 20 years old boy and I am thinking about starting a Powerwashing company, I enjoy a lot setting up new businesses and seems like this one would be great (I am also an Amz Seller). The "problem" with powerwashing for me is where I live. I am currently living in Bilbao (Spain), literally almost no one knows what powerwashing is, so there are no companies at all, and if they are they are really hard to find. Usually people here clean their houses themselves but without power sprayers or chemicals, just with a water hose. The thing is that I am not sure if the fact that no one knows about this and that people are not used to it will make this business no-viable here. What do you think about this? Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you again.

Arkangel don’t reinvent the wheel, I wouldn’t start a service business that I couldn’t directly take customers from a known “need” or major competitor in the market. At best you’ll be treading water, trying to prove the need. Go where the need is already known and make it 20-30% better than everyone else. ;)

@@AaronsLeanMeanAcademy Thanks for the reply. I have been investigating and here most of the people just leave it dirty as they do not know how to clean it or they just spend quite a lot of money painting over it instead of cleaning.

@@arkangel8066 If their willing to spend quite alot of money to paint over it then convince them it will save them money to have you pressure wash it :) if they dont have a reason give them a reason. Give them a reason to keep it clean, look up a bunch of diseases that people could potentially bring into their store from their shoes by the outside being dirty, explain to then how a cleaner looking outside will seperate themselves from their competition and result in grabbing more peoples attention and eventually their money, explain to them how a dirty outside or back area can result in rats or maggots *and bring in the rats, maggots, or roaches and put them their yourself several days after you explain that to him to convince him 😈 if he dosent want to buy? Go to his competition with pictures of the rats and roaches and say "this is what happens when you dont keep your store front clean" this is your competition's store and nobody would go to that store so his loss is your gain 👊 The point is IF THEY DONT HAVE A REASON TO PURCHASE, GIVE THEM ONE 😎

@@its_evers6445 what do you consider huge? This was a 2800 square foot driveway that's actually pretty big. Most guys that use their own water anyways only have a 500 gallon tank max. 500 gallon tanks aren't anything when you're using an 8 GPM setup. If you hire a pressure washer it's almost like an expected kind of deal, we are going to use the customers water. Down here in Florida I can literally fill up a 4000 gallon kid pool and it will only increase my water bill by $10 in the summertime.

Some negotiation is acceptable and expected, more than that can be a red flag that this will be a multiple call back, possible liability customer. Walk away. Refer them to someone who is in that mindset to take a zero or negative margin job to establish cred or whatever. Everyone’s happy.
