Just returned from a vacation in Greece. It was an honor to walk these sacred lands. Surreal knowing King Leonidas and the Spartans once stood where I stood.

Me and my family went to Thermopylae few days ago. It has been my Dad’s dream to go there since he’s been 10 (52 years ago) and he first heard about Leonidas. It was a trip and a moment that I will cherish forever.

Democracy would have died in it's infacy without Thermopylae battle. If Athenas were burned to the ground, the first place where people could vote, history would be very different. Never forget, Spartans, the very fist Elite soldiers in the world.

i was in high school when this film came out and i remember all the boys at the school shouting : ' SPARTANS ! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION ' and no matter who said it all the boys around replied with : "AWWOUU ". definitely snyders' best film by far.

Grown men were doing it too. Same thing happened at my "job." And since I was in command, they gave me the nickname Leonidas. They said it was because I wouldn't ask anyone to do anything that I wasn't willing or able to do myself. And it's where I got my saying, "There's a difference between a "boss" and a Leader."

The greatest stand of the West in human history. A war fought to allow us to continue our way of life. We have everything to thank to Greece, and the people who fought in the World Wars. They bled, so we could be free. They are truly heroes and legends.
Visited Greece and paid honor to King Leonidas and the 300 at Thermopylae. Amazing
I will never forget one of the greatest and strongest Warriors on earth, the Spartans.

Man you absolutely killed it with this edit. 300 is such a brilliant film, one of my absolute favourites. I’ve always been fascinated by Leonidas’ story and the 300, it’s a story about resilience, strength and love.

Yet nothing in this movie was accurate to the real 300 Spartans. How do you love this movie, when it's nothing like real life? It's an insult to the actual spartans!

His General was a real man. Even while being speared, he still took down three enemy soldiers like a beast he is. That’s a real man there.

The strength multiplier of the phalanx was formed by making a solid row of shields and spears. Very hard to penetrate and very hard to stop once it starts moving. What you see in the movie, the running forward as individuals would be the death sentence to the entire phalanx as there now is a weak spot and unlike in the movie, the singled out Spartans in the front, would have been cut down despite their superior armor and training.
A movie on unwavering bravery.
"Some say, Xeroxes was the devil Pan and Leonidas was sixty years old when this took place." Legendary.....

…and here we are in 2022 pissing it all away. I can’t help thinking every day of the universal sacrifice of the Spartans for a free world and the bloody foot prints of the American freedom fighters of the revolutionary war that marched through the snow in bare feet to defeat the British in the revolutionary war for a free America. It saddens me for how far we have fallen. I believe most countries have similar stories of moments when a few stood up to the many to give a better life for all. I think about them as well!
