We talk a lot about hip flexibility in yoga but one thing that's often overlooked is hip strength! Having hips that are strong and stable will help you heal as well as prevent injuries. Flexibility is great but it needs to be balanced with stability to be truly effective!

First yoga since I broke my hip! I used to do this routine every day and it was so lucky I did because my recovery was a lot easier. Doing it while still healing was so hard but so happy to be back!

Done 28.1.2024: This one is always excellent to do. It gets easier but still challenging, especially holding bridge with a block for a long time, and standing pigeon pose.

you cannot imagine how much I am grateful for this video. I am doing your Flexyfebruary since the beginning of the month and my hips open wider but they loose more and more strenght making basic poses like warrior 2 difficult and painful. I am happy that with your tips I have been able to find back a stable and painless warrior 2. This video will come back regularly into my practice this month! THANK YOU

So delighted you have offered this yoga class. I have been searching high and low for a yoga class to strengthen (rather than stretch) my hip/thigh area in that I recently injured my hamstring tendon (tear, strain?) and have had on-going groin discomfort. I think I need to still avoid forward folds as I keep reading that they can exacerbate the injury. Very helpful, very grateful and thank you.
I do have a problem loose right hip, so very helpful for me. I found it uniquely interesting trying to draw the legs in while in warrior pose, etc, so will try to incorporate this effort more often.

I loved this practice and think I will come back to it avery other day for the next few weeks. My hips are twisted after an accident in childhood and though years of hip stretching and flexibility have helped a lot, I find it hard to figure out just how all the muscles are unevenly developed and counteract that. I think this will help a lot! Thank you!

I’m a newbie and today was my first time practicing this routine. It is intense, I was sweating and I could not hold some poses for very long. But I’m feeling great afterwards and a bit sore (but in a good way)
Hi Kassandra, would this class be helpful for hips that seem to crack where joining to pelvis area? Your deer pose seems to feel great when this happens though curious which of your awesome hip yoga classes might help strengthen and release that area at the same time. Thankyou for adding a hip strengthening yoga practise. I am an ex dancer and really suffer bad with hyper mobile joints. Can literally go into side splits without warming up. I am now 30 weeks pregnant and have been suffering really bad with hip pains with my hips flexing more than normal and in enormous pain over night when having to lay on my side. I have religiously been doing this practise every morning now for 3 weeks and I think I am slowly feeling a difference in my hip strength. Cant thankyou enough! Do you have any prenatal yoga practises that are suitable for the 3rd trimester?
This was perfect for today! I was planning on doing about 30 or 35 minutes today and I log on to see this 35 minute new video! I can already tell today is going to be a good day! How can I join the Facebook group? I'd love to be more of a part of the community!

This feels like an intermediate class. I absolutely cannot keep up with any of these poses and I have no stamina. I give up.
Kassandra! Lovely practice but I had an ad interrupt mid movement. Something tells me you didn’t don’t intend this.
Thank you for this class. Just a gentle suggestion: You talked about keeping your balance in tree being "easy" because of what you were doing. Beginners especially can really struggle when instructors describe things as "easy."
I wanted to do this but its got awful background noise/ music. Not relaxing at all.
