When I had COVID last year, my cat lay against me in bed for three days purring like a purr machine to help me recover. My cat is a self-entitled brat, but I will never forget how she tried to help me through COVID and I will tell anyone who is willing to listen how she helped me.

I have been a cat person for over 5 years. once you get to know these wonderful animals, it is easy to see that the CAT FAMILY is the most SENSATIONAL of all Animal families. From the Tiger to the Lion, to the Couger, just Magnificent. i am so proud of my cats.

I love when a cat shows its belly, it means they trust you. It means a lot when they show their bellies, rub up against your leg, lay on your chest, get up close to your face....all signs they love you and all things my kitty does to my husband and I 🥰🫶

My little one doesn’t like to be lifted and seems very stand offish but after watching this video I can tell she loves all of us. She loves a belly rub and is always showing off her bum to us. Thank goodness humans aren’t the same 😅

My cat follows me to the toilet head buts my leg then if I leave the door open he sits politely with his back to me until I leave. I think he maybe guarding and protecting me! So cute

My cat guards the bathroom too. When I get up she gets on the back of the toilet and watch what I did go down!!!

My late Himalayan cat learned to help me before I had a seizure…to get in a safe place. I suffer daily seizures and sometimes faint. He He’d made a weird noise. I would be right there when I’d come back to consciousness. This is my 3rd week without him…i miss him badly. I can’t be without a kitty. I bought a new Persian kitten who will be brought to me on my birthday!

Cats are like people in that each cat has it's own unique personality. We follow their lead to learn how to relate to them. I enjoy learning how to bond with each cat. I guess they're like our children that way. One child may want his or her special stuffed animal at bedtime while another wants the entire zoo! I love my cats, and I hope I can be with them again when my time here is done. ❤

Same here , my 2 sisters aren’t lap cats but one never resists me when I pick her up but doesn’t come when I call her, unless it’s for food 😅. The other sister usually comes when I call her but doesn’t like being held or picked up but loves to be brushed. Both sleep on the bed near me and nuzzle me with trills if I sleep a little too late. Sometimes for no reason at all one with suddenly walk onto my lap a nuzzle my face or star licking my hair if I’m laying down. I’m crazy about my girls .

My British shorthair is the same she’s not keen on lap sitting but sleeps nexts to me every night. She does a lot of head bumping and slow blinks, a lot of Rolling around and flopping on the floor, she does a lot of bites to me and my daughter not hard bites play bites. She’s lovely and very cute, she follows us around the house she does actually like to be carried around like a baby, lovely thing she is xx

My cat brought me mice, voles, small birds too.

probably not! We have four cats and they love to go from room to room with us. One we rescued from the freezing cold winter streets and he follows me everywhere. And not for food Your cat is telling you he wants to be near you.

My 2nd cat had a very special bond with me for the longest time. He trusted me the most in my family. I used to give him belly rubs and kisses on my belly. My mother tried it and only lasted 5 minutes. I did became his bestie when he was a stray. I was so lucky that he was very sweet and friendly cat. He did meow for a little talk. He was a 20 pound cat for a longest time. He was liked having a dog around. He even sat in a chair next to me while I was having my dinner and put his paw on my thigh to let me know he was next to me.

The chirping sound a cat makes to their owner is very different to the sound they make at birds through the window. The second one is often accompanied by their lower jaw moving up and down. It is a sign of frustration.

My cat sleeps right at my butt under the covers, helps me cook by supervising from the top of the fridge, and often gives me a nibble, especially when she wants food or her kitty litter changed.

So sorry about your husband, Reba! My husband has FrontoTemporal Dementia and grew so violent that he had to go live in a facility. His disease is progressing so quickly, there is no hope that he'll see another Christmas. Black cats are the best! They seem to understand how blessed they are to be loved rather than mistreated! THE ONLY VOLET THING WAS OUR POMERANIAN JUMPED ON HIS BED on day I happened to be were I could see. He started kicking the dog.i ran in grabbed a foot in each hand and calmly told him never do that again. And he didn't.. I would act like mom sometimes. Before he had to go to the nursing home he had regress to calling me mama a few times. I took care of him 2'3 ye of regression. To changeing his pull ups. I got to fragile I n I the last of July. They put him in the Home because I was getting to tired. He passed Sep.22. This is January 15 I am still so tired depressed. Beginning to find my self again 😌..

My cat "trills".

I adopted my third boy who was never socialized. He would have his head in a corner of the box all the time. After some love patience and help from meds he came out of his shell after some months. He finally came into the living room and I can't sit down before he's on my lap, and meows very loud for me to get up-at 5 am- to get on my lap. And now he climbs up my chest to be held like a baby, we purr and trill to each other, Eskimo kisses too. So glad I got him,,,maybe somebody had something to do with getting us together❤️

My cat always leaves me a bit of whatever I feed her in her dish. When she catches/eats a grasshopper she leaves me a portion. She leaves me a leg. A grasshopper leg. A grasshopper leg....

People should realize that one must try to speak non-human animals' languages as opposed trying to force their relatively simpler minds to understand yours. The slow blink is one of the cat's form of language, and it is fun to actually initiate the conversation by slow blinking at them and have them slow blink back. They don't necessarily need to trust you. I have done this with feral cats after they find a safe distance and sit watching me. I have also had this work with wild cats at the zoo. I feel that among other things it represents a method to reduce stress between the animals involved. Another form of communication is the fast swishing of the tail which represents an increasing energy emotional state. Watch out for this if the cat appears outwardly calm while petting them, but their tail starts to rapidly swish, as they may likely be getting ready to bite and run. Some cats will include you in more elaborate forms of games. I have had a few cats that have allowed me to play hide and seek with them, where we take turns peeking out from around large objects and trade off chasing each other. Also, one cat would run in front of me meow and the run a short distance, let me run up to him and keep repeating this behavior until he would finally fall over and let me give him kitty roughhouse tickles. Each individual cat can have their own peculiarities, like one that used to "help" me when putting together furniture, and very nonchalantly work his way over to a plastic bag of parts, and when I was watching distractedly groom himself, but as soon as I would turn around, would quickly grab the bag in his mouth and run with his head held high in the air as fast as he could stealing it. Silly chaos generating machines.

While reading this my best buddy tabby kitten is on her back, all feet in the air, fast asleep, in the crook of my arm!

#24- cats bring you gifts because they think you don't cat very well. They don't want you to starve, you are the only one with thumbs.

Keep in mind that all of this applies even if you don't own the cat. He/she will do likewise with someone who they consider a hooman friend.

Man my cat LOVES me!! And I think it came from the day I gave her a bath and I had to leave her in the bathroom because I spread out baking soda and didn’t want it to get on her paws. She meowed and meowed and I felt so guilty 😩😩 I went and slept in the bathroom with her and she hugged my hand the whole time.. from that day forward, she follows me everywhere and does all these things that I’ve seen in these videos!!! It’s as if she could feel all of my love and as if she really realized i would never leave her alone!
