you ARE doing something wrong at the boss stage of "High Seas Havok"= you NEED to attack (press the jump button again once you're on top of his head) to hurt him! once done, move away from him since he'll launch a flurry with his sword and you'll definitely won't want to be close to him when and while (it lasts just 5 real-life seconds) it happens! hope that helps.

No one must remember *Burning Force* because it is never covered in videos like this. It was an arcade game, converted for the Genesis, by Namco. Released in 1988/1989, there is no mistaking it being inspired by *Space Harrier* , but it was its own unique game and was a lot more fun. The “over horizon-style” graphics were reminiscent of *3D World Runner* , *F-Zero* , and the afore mentioned *Space Harrier* . The soundtrack was one of the greatest the Genesis ever produced and the simple arcade gameplay was perfectly replicated from its Japan-only coin-op brother. A fantastic Namco game that deserves more memory, *Burning Force* was one of my all-time favorite Genesis/Mega Drive titles, and is still one I go back to, until this very day.

That was one of my favorites too, absolutely fantastic game. I think I've seen a couple of mentions of it in KZread videos but it's strange a game from a company as big as Namco has fallen into such obscurity (though in fairness Namco didn't release a whole lot on Genesis compared to other platforms).

Blades of Vengeance! We did a video on that just the other day (won't be out for a few weeks). It was only the second time I had played it. There is a very well done co-op mechanic where one player can pause and the other player and camera go off and do what they want. I quite enjoyed the graphics and music.

That game Crossfire in Japan was called Super Ariwolf which is a US Live action show called Airwaolf and I recognized that helicopter anywhere. And that Exosquad stuff is kinda odd, at least you know it was based on a US TV animated show that was kinda ahead of its time. Made by Universal Animation Studios and a body count that would make Better Call Saul jealous and a temporary license with Playmates, Universal decided to cancel the show due to low ratings that they set up to happen and Playmates not getting a renewed license and it was about to run out Playmate made a lot of things happen. An odd board game, with 2 PC apps, and this game is made by a developer in Hungary. Hungary had no idea what Exosquad was and was forced to work in the dark with little info on what the show was really about, so they made it about Time travel which has nothing to do with the show, at all. it was a mess.

Most of these games looks very average in the grand scheme of things, imo, which is probably why they are largely forgotten these days. Wings of Wor (Gynoug) is the one actual standout in the list for me. And it likely doesn't really need to be on this list, as I doubt people have truly forgotten this one to be honest. It even got a port on modern consoles recently too. I'd actually say this is a bit of a Genesis classic.
