Funny thing is, neither Zelda or Crusader of Centy are rpgs, they're action adventure games. (Except Zelda 2) Many of these games have been reprinted as of late, thanks to Retro-Bit. Paprium is it's own beast, It was in development hell for like 10yrs, came out in very limited stock.. and now is doing a 2nd print.
so here's a story about Air Raid. in the early 2000's i was part of Atari Age website as a mod on the forums for a specific part of the forum. There was a user that I don't recall the name, but had the means of buying every copy of Air Raid that would show up on Ebay at the time and in the end I believe he ended up with 6 copies. This really made people mad because nobody could outbid him, and it cornered the price to where he dictated the value, or could simply not sell them ever, which means that nobody else would get the opportunity to own this game. So you can see with many collectos and enthusiasts on AA, it pissed people off. I quite the site 2006 and I don't know if the person still did or does scoop up Air Raid whenever it becomes available.
The reason Spider-Man was 30 in that maximum carnage was because at that time he was in the comic. It was still the same continuity from the 60s before they rebooted it. Lord knows how many times that amazing Spider-Man has been rebooted. I miss that Spider-Man.
These prices are insane
That’s why I use flash carts and odes for all of my consoles because I’m definitely not willing to pay those silly prices for some of these games while I can put the complete romsets and plus homebrew and hacks and even more with it and breathes new life into my old consoles.

I do the same. I could never afford to play those games without emulation or flash carts.
This is inflation on steroids! Let's wait for this bubble to pop.
I can only imagine once the Switch stops production and the amount of rare games that will go up in value.

@@missionmetaverse5240Some games are produced in low quantities and are already very expensive such as Razion EX, but most the time you can buy the digital version of the game for cheap, Razion is only expensive in it's physical release.
All that I can say is that I am very happy that I acquired most of my collection 15 - 40 years ago, before most things got obscenely expensive. There's not a remote chance that I can afford collectors prices these days.
Im not trying to buy every Sega Genesis game but I've been buying the bucket-list games i always wanted but never had such as Crue Ball(with the Motley crue soundtrack) Rolliing Thunder 2 and 3, Shadow Dancer (Shinobi 2) and theres about 2 or 3 more Genesis game before I move on to the next console. Its not good to procrastinate because retro games keep getting more expensive every year.

Truth and you can sell on eBay and they play the game for a few days then say it's faulty and want their money back so you end up losing about 30 bucks all together. Yes this happened to me. Learned my lesson.

Only in the gaming scene will some shmuck say something dumb like this
I can confirm; I do not have any of these games. I'm just happy to have a gold-cart Zelda CIB. Can we do a "Most Common Games" episode? I'd probably crush that game list.
So cool to know. Hard to believe some of these are worth so much and WHO is paying for them?! Do you have any of these Greg; or have you had any?
So if I have a brand new Mega Man, I should open it and see if the cartridge has five screws because a brand new five-screw Mega Man goes for almost $150K. Got it! 😂
I am one of the 1500 with a copy of Cheetahmen II. Worth every penny I spent, because I spent less than half of its current going price on it. A terrible, buggy, short game that deserves a fate worse than death: to be entombed in acrylic with a rating based on its physical condition and appearance. Instead it sits in its original box next to Little Samson, Surprise at Dino Peak, and that empty spot where Stadium Events would be if I had one, waiting for the unlucky day when I finally decide to do game reviews.

Hagane was a Blockbuster Video exclusive, so that's one of the reasons its so expensive. It was never a commercial release.

It is often repeated that it is a Blockbuster exclusive but it is most likely not true.
Maximum Carnage CIB on the SNES is going for about $150 right now. I believe it’s the collector’s edition that’s going for the big bucks.

I have a sealed copy of Daze before Christmas for the. Mega drive and always wondered how much it's worth
Paprium already at 280 is wild. I get it tho. Great game too
One of the two Flintstones games for the NES was a Blockbuster Video Exclusive. But I do not recall which one.

The prices on these games is why emulation exists. Most people don't have the deep pockets to afford these.

I don't count or collect homebrew games. Nothing against them. I just want the original license games.
I’m probably not the only person bitchin’ about a high prices for certain games online. Like Ys VII (North American print) and Futurama: The Video Game. Just what are the sellers smokin’? Why is Ys VII (NA print) so bloody expensive? I was expecting it to be cheap like Futurama: The Game.
The second game looks like a modded Streets of Rage.

I'm doing an inventory now. I want to insure my collection. I'm also trying to guess how much I spent collecting. So far I've doubled my investment. I don't have many games over 30-50 bucks (I cheat with rom carts, and .multicarts).. My hardware on the other hand surprised me. I have some good pieces. The rate of appreciation in a video game collection can be more than the stock market! Someday I want to buy a condo. If I have to, I'll sell the collection.for a bigger down payment. But ideally, I'd like to keep everything for a game room. Collecting while living in a studio apartment is a challenge.

@@GregsGameRoom I like buying lots, but only keeping the games/hardware I want. I keep some stuff for trade, or eBay. That allows me a balance to buy more! I don't have to draw from my everyday money. I would also hate to buy some of the things over again with today's prices. There are still deals out there, but I have 90% of the hardware I set out to collect.
Nice, I have Crusader of the Centy CIB, as I love RPGs and simply bought it back then. Didn't know it's now worth something. Question: How can MegaMan NIB be sold? I mean, NIB is an unopened box, right? How do you know without opening it's a five-screw cart? X-Ray? :D
Hold up, how would one know if they have a NEW in box 5 screw MegaMan? That would require opening the box to check the cartridge making it not new anymore and downgrading to CIB. I don't expect you to know but it's a question worth asking lol
Maximum carnage i just seen some loose carts and they were not no $300

Just get a flashcart if you don't care about owning the original cartridge. I sold most of my collection kept the consoles I enjoy playing and got flashcarts for them, Im loving it.
Now im thinking how to mod a 4 screw cart into a 5 screw one and sticking it up on ebay for some sucker to buy lol. Im guessing theres some sort of money laundering and price fixing going on with those massively expensive games much like the art world or the Dutch tulip bubble as outside groups of collectors these things are just plastic wrapped around a rom and pretty much worthless.
Well you shouldn’t put any homebrew games at all, only official games whether with box or not, also since you are talking about each game and say your opinion about it, it felt more like multiple game reviews rather then only explaining it’s value of each. Also i think you have missed alot of valueble games for each system, mmm.
Nice graphics and Atari games dont belong in the same sentence. Atari is awful and you all know it.
I play them all for free😁
