Warning: cuteness overload in today’s 10th day in 30 for Thirty celebration of ‘Kiko’. That’s right, we’re talking ‘Elmo and the Lavender Moon.’
Back in ’93, Los Lobos was invited down to Sesame Street to sing this rendition of ‘Kiko and the Lavender Moon’ featuring Elmo and a feline friend dancing below a lavender moon. While much of Lobos’ music is family friendly, this version of ‘Kiko’ brought them specifically to a younger audience, as did 1995's “Papa’s Dream” collaboration with Lalo Guerrero. Who remembers this Sesame Street segment?
