After I saw this on tv when I was in college, I immediately went out and bought "Kiko", an incredible album that I never would have been exposed to if it weren't for Sesame Street!

Sesame Street has always been Dope

This song has always stayed with me since I was small. Seeing the night set the first couple times it made me feel creepy and fun vibes at the same time keeping it in my Elmo memories. Gracias Los Lobos !!!

Exact same experience - literally saw this one time as a child 20 years ago and finally just found it again now after loads of vague searching. Amazed at how close it is to my distant memory of it, especially the minor-key Three Blind Mice intro. It always seemed so eerie and haunting, like we were getting this nighttime glimpse into the weirder world of Sesame Street after dark.

Me too. I was too young to remember the song title.

This was such a very unique song I was fortunate enough to listen to when I was young and I completely forgot about it until now. I'm glad all those memories are coming back to me!

I absolutely love this tune!! I first saw this watching Sesame Street with my daughter several years ago. I was thrilled to find it on You Tube.

I have finally found it, this brings back so many memories.

+N3onReVenant Sesame street spoofed many songs we didn't know of, and even then, we preferred more SS songs than the originals

My granddaughter became enamored with First because she sang about the number four with some penguins. When I looked up her videos, I like her music. Sesame Street always had some great musicians on to change up their songs a little. Except James Taylor...he wrote "Jelly Man Kelly" with his then-little daughter.

Agreed. Lol even though I knew that was what it resembled I always used to sing in my mind 'Gas & Go' to it as that was the gas station on the corner near my house with a huge convenience store that sold decent pizza, subs, and fried chicken.

I had this song on the songs from the street CD. I was like 5 years old and I had absolutely zero idea what the visuals for this where, and I was both terrified and in love with it. I have no idea why but when you are just listening to this without any visuals it really made this feel so mysterious.

I had no idea this was done! Kiko is my favorite Los Lobos track. Thank you for posting this, this made my night =D

I guess you could probably say it's one of those "for the fun of it" Sesame Street songs. I think this is sort of a relaxation song, considering it's played at night, and the music isn't too heavy.

At one time elmo was scared of the dark until he ran into dave and cesar and elmo put his trust into these dude's and elmo can now sleep with the light off. Looking forward to a few shows with these guy's in about a couple weeks their music is the perfect way to get thru a real cold winter.If they would just do a song with snuffy.PEACE

I've ALWAYS liked this tune from "Sesame Street!!" To me...the chords at the beginning sound VERY demonic as I notice that some people were posting!! However...I LOVE IT!! It makes it sound like kind of a "HALLOWEEN-LIKE" tune!! "ELMO" has ALWAYS been one of my FAVORITE muppets on "SESAME STREET!!" He does the DARNDEST things. I have a friend who can IMITATE "ELMO" VERY WELL!! Especially I've ALWAYS liked "ELMO'S" pet fish "DOROTHY!!"

sesame street was the best. putting adult celebrities and artists, on their shows, to teach and entertain. it's a shame pop culture has become a mess, the past 10-15 years.
