I love Albert Pujols and anyone for that matter who takes the time to breakdown what they do- especially from hall of fame players. But to be quite honest- what Pujols talks about isn’t what he actually does in the game. What he explains and what he actually does are two completely different things. He’s talking about his FEELS not the actual movement he does in the actual GAME. It’s important that many youngsters-coaches- and anyone who tries to absorb this information and then try to teach it- almost like a WELL ALBERT PUJOLS DOES THIS SO ITS GOTTA WORK. Wrong. These are routines- mindsets- approaches- nuisances- details- and variations alllll developed over a very long amazing career by HIM. Freakin Corey Dickerson is over here talking about his angles and feeling specific motor movements and all this hoopla. Like I said! Right before getting cut he started incorporating a leg kick... he’s never done that before in his career. Being a guy who’s played in the minor leagues for a few years most guys go to the leg kick when either they’re slumping and teammate who’s producing has a leg kick or the hitter feels he’s lacking power in his normal swing. Sean Ryan your swing will naturally be different in-game, cause at that point you’re reacting to a particular pitch and where it’s thrown, your hands are one of your most important parts of your swing and making sure you know where your hands need to be for a particular pitch is crucial to success, what you do in practice will always be an over exaggeration to try and get your mechanics to where it’s as fluid and easy as possible, a perfect swing type is a very slight uppercut

He doesn't hit like that in a game - no knob to the ball produce 600+ HRs. Just watch clips of his swing on here. Real vs feel?

@@MannyAngel777 No secret, just watch the clips of his swings - palm up/palm down and the barrel comes around his rear shoulder.
Albert looks like he dropped 15 lbs
within 150rbis of all time leader. If he hangs around in a Julio Franco type role, he has a chance.
Hitting is like dating a flat out mind game.
Hitting is simple
"Hit the top of the cage that's a great swing." It's not. Albert dismissed that like a gentleman.
Always stay square and focus always in the middle nothing else and let natural take it course.
Paint inside
So this is feel vs real not one swing was what he said to do everything came from behind him and can from his back hip
giancarlo stantons swing practice video would just be him hitting a watermelon with a hammer
Still miss this guy... Or machine? Of course if he's a machine, he's like a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. Still sexy to look at on the highway, but without constant repair, you got about 4,000 miles left.
Why did he suck after the cardinals?
Pujols comes from the Arod school of teaching. Amazing how little great hitters actually know about hitting.

@@Gabriel-uu9tv They say to hit down on the ball, which is total nonsense. I realize it's a cue that may work because that's how it feels, but one should never swing down on the ball. The backspin/carry myth is exactly that. It's old school and we all know old school dies hard in baseball.

Why do hitters teach things that they never do during a game? Swinging down on the ball? Knob to the ball? Push from your back leg? You got to be joking...
@emmettebramble10

I don't remember him saying "hit down on the ball" but he stays down and let the bat travel to the ball. And the knob will point to the ball at some point during the swing because the bt at has to lay down so no issues there. And there's weight transfer from to front Ina centrifical manner so are driving forward no joke!

You don't do it during the game, bc you trained yourself not to have to think about it at practice

He's definitely a HOF. But I would have retired already. He's not a good player anymore and he's hamstrung the Angels with an albatross of a contract. I couldn't keep getting paid like that with his performance. My opinion.
Doesn't matter anymore!
He’s flinching as if Pujols doesn’t have any bat control. 🤡
REPENT and be BORN AGAIN believing on Messiah Lord Jesus, nothing more important, today is the day of salvation and Jesus can show you the truth, its not blind faith you can see it for yourself if you truly seek like promised. John 3:3 unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God / Luke 13:3 unless you repent, you will all likewise perish ⚠️❤️⚠️❤️
This may be what he thought in his head. But he did none of this in a live swing.
Retire already by the time he's done his career BA. Will be below .280
It’s crazy how different his in game swings are. You will never see a major leaguer throw his knob down at the ball.

I was expecting him to ground into a double play

I’ve always thought the T was overrated and for losers. Look at me now, commenting on videos on KZread instead of signing $300 million contracts 🤷🏽♂️
Is it just me or is Harold Reynolds always annoying?
Video is pointless Albert doesn’t swing like the stuff he’s saying in games 😂😂😭
