Used nothing but 30-06 and 3030. The federal blue box 150grn 30-06 is my go to as well. Always accurate and never had a deer run more than 15 yards.🇺🇸🇺🇸

I agree. As a newcomer, I couldn’t decide on which round I’d like to use, and this helped a ton.

The Axis works when ya do your part.. The 30.06 well, goes without sayin"...... Venison... nom nom... :)

Yeah, same here. Todd has pretty good luck with Blue box in 7mm Rem Mag and this 30-06. Hornady American Whitetail seems pretty good as well. Still can't beat a hand load though.

When I see a good ol' boy taking 200 yard headshots slinging federal blue box out of an Axis, I have to tip my hat.

Been using a Savage 110 30-06 since i was 14 years old. Im 40 now and have never had to track a deer 👍. They either drop on the spot or make just a few steps if i get a bad shot. Ive never felt the need to replace the beat up old wood stock savage 30-06 😊. If i get a ding or knock a chunk of wood off it...who gives a F 😂.

Todd pulls off some nice shooting once in a while. We have him dropping a deer at 375yds as well. He got one with my Tikka 7mm RM a few years ago as well

This is an Axis one, but he put a Timney trigger on it. You're right, the Axis II has the accutrigger.

@@tylerwibben4100 It is just a Savage Axis. If you want a better trigger, look at the Axis II. My personal opinion, if you want a better rifle, look at the Savage 110s or the Ruger American for a bit higher of a price. T/C Compass is a great budget option as well.
